On this episode of CNTV we join CrossPro Jeff Becka on a whitetail hunt in his home state of Ohio. Jeff is after a buck he has nicknamed “Anticosti”. Anticosti is a resident deer on the Ohio farm that Jeff crossbow hunts. He has had three years of history with this buck and could have killed him many times. But Anticosti was always under developed when it came to his antler size. Well, after 2 years of minerals, Anticosti grew into a main framed 10 point with some extra kickers and trash now totaling 15 score-able points. Jeff now has his eye on this mature buck and sets out to kill him. One November morning Jeff and Bill climb into the tree early to get ready for an all day sit. The rut is on and the bucks are out cruising. Right at first light they see a buck enter the woods. After glassing the buck, Jeff knows its Anticosti. He gives the buck a few grunts and he comes right into crossbow range. Jeff makes a great shot with his Mission Dagger crossbow and Anticosti drops right in sight of the treestand. There will be no blood trail on this buck. This is a great crossbow hunt with lots of extra footage and trail camera shots from years before. Enjoy the hunt for Anticosti!!!
