Cold Weather Crossbow Kills

On this episode of Crossbow Nation TV we join Bill and Jeff on two late season crossbow hunts for does. The boys are all tagged out with their buck tags and are looking to shoot a couple of doe for some families that could use the extra meet for the freezer. Bill is hunting in the snow in Southeastern Ohio and puts a great 40 yard shot on a doe that drops within sight of the tree. Jeff is hunting from a ground blind in Northeastern Ohio. Jeff shoots a doe and doesn’t make the best shot. But after allowing plenty of time and with some diligent tracking, Jeff recovers his doe too. He also brings along his son to help out on the track job and to spend some time with dad.

Both Bill’s and Jeff’s gear on these hunts:

  • Excalibur Matrix 355 Crossbow
  • Black Eagle Executioner Arrow
  • Firenock Lighted Crossbow Nock
  • Wasp Boardhead

Would love to know which model bow you use on these hunts, rather than just brand name.
