Early November 8 Point Buck
On this episode of Crossbow Nation TV we join CrossPro Larry Scheetz on an early November crossbow hunt in Ohio. Larry is setup in a box blind overlooking a cut cornfield. A nice buck comes out into the field but it isn’t light enough outside for the camera to pickup good footage of the hunt. Larry has to wait out the buck for as long as he can to allow the sun to rise high enough to lighten things up a little. Just as it is getting light enough for Larry to shoulder his CAMX crossbow and take a shot, the buck starts to leave the cornfield. At the same point in time, while trying to make one last adjustment on the camera, a wrong button gets pushed by accident and the camera goes into auto mode making the footage much darker than we hoped for. Larry is faced with a now or never chance at the buck and makes a great shot sending the arrow perfectly into the vitals of the deer. After a short wait for the sun to come up and to give the deer plenty of time to expire, Larry heads out of the box blind to retrieve his arrow. Covered in blood, he knows the shot was good. He quickly gets on the blood trail and finds his buck.
