Lscha are you still heading up the Michigan Crossbow Federation? I did not see you at this years Deer and Turkey Expo in Lansing. I was going to renew my membership. Hope all is well.

Thank You...it was pretty intense! We had watched the herd all morning. When they brushed up for the afternoon heat, we went back to eat and plan our hunt. During the time we were gone...this bull got into a fight and was cut/gored/? and kicked out of the herd. We had no idea we were about to run into a rogue bull was in a real bad mood. The first time we were too far away for a shot and he ran into the camphor brush. When he reappeared...he just felt the urge to stomp on the first thing he saw and that was all of us. Poor Lucky (my driver) did not feel too lucky holding the camera and filming. So it was a bit shakey when the bull charged us. I kept trying to get on him...but he was head on. At 8 meters I shot through his ear, past his shoulder and into 1 lung and Ethan my PH fired the 500 Nitro Express at his feet to turn the charge. So yeah...it was just a bit intense. I was great until the adrenalin wore off in the middle of the night...then I was scared to death!

      Hey there Lscha...

Yes its April and I just got back from South Africa! Now if I could figure out how to post a ton of pictures...you could all see my 40+" Cape Buffalo!!!

My husband and I had the best time ever there and harvested several nice animals. Garry took the new #8 or #9 SCI Record Bood Waterbuck. The thing was a tank! 32" horns and over 1,000 pounds.

While I am trying to figure out how to post pictures here...you can look at the start of the ones I put in photobucket. Here is the link...

Will post pictures very soon...and post the story of the cape buffalo charge.

      Talk to you soon!

I noticed that you shoot an Ibex. What was the reason you chose that bow over a Vixen? I will be buying a bow thru Dan Miller in about a week, and lenght of stock probaly is going to be the main issue.
