It will 1 pound lighter with the Vented rail and stock like the Ventilator just as fast as the SLP 165. Can you reveal your sources? I hope it's true because that is exactly what I was hoping for. The only other thing I would like to see is a railless version in a 165. Thanks

It's true... I heard the same thing from the powers that be.

Jvac, are you going to order the new Velocity? I'm on the fence... we'll see.

Maybe one of you could help me out. What's stopping Scorpyd from bumping the weight up to 185lbs like a lot of bows? Now that would be a screamer for sure with the Scorpyd platform. :)

Any idea on price for the Velocity? Not that it really matters because as long as it is in the ballpark of the Ventilator Iam going to order one. I suspect it will slightly higher though Thanks

I believe it's less than $100 more... I know of other details/specs., but I'll let Rex post those.

For anyone interested, place a call to Rex. Do a search for him and his contact information is listed.

Could you just put 165# limbs on a Vent?

Does this new version 165 have the Vent's trigger, or the original 165 type trigger?

Don't quote me on this but when I talked to Rex today about the Velosity I believe he said it was the Vent trigger

Arrow technology? They can get 315 FPS out of 8O pound limbs on the Ventilator, just like the others can with 185 pound limbs? They already have the fastest production crossbow, and have since 2010?

It has been hiding in plain sight right here all along for over 2 weeks, just like the 8O pound Ventilator in the second paragraph.

So you think they could put heavier limbs but they don't since there are no arrows out there to handle the speed? Or are you saying they don't use heavier limbs since they can already advertise the fastest bow so they're thinking what's the point?

Seems like the SLP platform would be right around 450fps with 185# limbs.

Here you can watch a video of a Scorpyd shooting at 504 fps.
They use stronger limbs from Middleton.
    But who need this.
