Hello, I am considering purchasing a Barnett Rhino System 4 Crossbow. I've never fired a crossbow before, but have wanted one since I was a boy but never got around to purchasing one. First of all, I have had trouble finding reviews on this particular crossbow. I have read a number of reviews on the Quad 400 and they didn't look too good. People were talking about strings breaking and getting hurt. I as most people value my health and don't want to purchase a substandard product which could lead to injury. Any information concerning this particular crossbow would be helpful. Additionally, if this is a safe good crossbow to purchase, what would a fair amount of money to pay. Additionally, any help on where I can go to get good information on the safe use of and maintenance of a crossbow would be great. I know there is probably a lot of information on the web concerning this, I just don't have the ability to understand what is and isn't good information. I appreciate in advance any advice that you might be able to share with me.

Xypher and Papasmurf, welcome to Crossbow Nations forum. By now each of you have browsed the threads and found enough information to get you started. Please ask questions. There are very experienced xbow hunters here, myself not among them, that will be more that happy to share a truthful opinion on anything.

Welcome to the Nation. There's lots of good folks here and a lot of information available. The search function works to answer a lot of basic questions. And there is no such thing as a dumb question.
