Hello members. I new to CBN. I purchased my first Xbow early this year, due to frozen shoulder problems. Shooting a Parker Tornado with Spitfire heads.
Our south Georgia temps finally got cool enough to get on a stand last week.
First time hunting with a crossbow and the result was my first deer taken with a crossbow.
About mid morning, I had a buck respond to my rattling/grunt sequence. Little did I know until I sent the Spitfire tipped bolt through the 9 pointer at about 18 yards that there were there 2 other bucks, one to my left and the other behind me and both within 20 yards. the buck to the left bolted off at the shot and I could not rack size through the canopy of trees. The third buck took off after I texted my son who was up river of me and stood up to climb down. Turned out to be an exciting first hunt. And I was just thinking minutes before the action how I was just thankful to be back in the woods that morning regardless of seeing any deer. This crossbow hunting might be addictive. God is good.
I attached a photo of the 9 pointer.

Welcome aboard, friend. Nice deer. Congrats.
It's not the kill, but the hunt, where memories are made.
