COLUMBUS, Ohio (CGE) - At an announcement ceremony  held in downtown Columbus Thursday, Gov.-elect John Kasich filled two  more agency director slots by naming Scott Nally to be director of  Ohio's Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA) and David Mustine to be  director of Ohio's Dept. of Natural Resources (ODNR).

Kasich made a third announcement; Scott Zody will be Assistant Director of ODNR under Mustine.

Nally to lead OPEA

Scott Nally has more than 20 years of environmental experience and a  proven track record of protecting the environment while encouraging  responsible economic growth, information provided by the Kasich-Taylor  communication staff reported. Since 2005, Nally has served as the  Assistant Commissioner of Indiana's Department of Environmental  Management, where he was responsible for the Department’s budget, policy  development and enforcement, and all information technology projects  undertaken by the Department.  Prior to joining IDEM, Nally spent 11  years as the regional environmental manager for Perdue Foods in  Washington, Indiana.

Mustine to lead ODNR

Mustine is a former Senior Vice President at Columbus-based American  Electric Power in its regulated business unit. At AEP, his  responsibilities included regulatory and issues management, support  services, business planning, financial management, business development  and community services. He also worked for AEP in London, and since  2008, he has served as a director of Terraseis, an oil and gas services  business based in Dubai.

Zody to be Asst. ODNR Director

Zody’s 20-year career in public service has been spent primarily at  ODNR, where he served for nearly five years as the Department’s  Legislative Liaison and eight years as the Deputy Director for  Recreation and Resource Management. Zody is an avid outdoorsman and  forest landowner, managing approximately 20 acres of woodlands around  his Fairfield County home.

A personal note: BYE BYE to Sean Logan the current Director of the ODNR! You won't be missed and I hope you enjoy your view from the curb! That'll teach you and your former boss Governor Ted Strickland to grant audience, negotiate and shake hands with HSUS. *SPIT* Now we can get things done. This is one of the happiest posts I have made in a long time. :ass:

Currently it costs $125 for the license and $24 for an either sex deer tag. A non resident is able to come shoot one of Ohio's trophies for $149.00. It's been that way for a long time and that is a very reasonable price. How does a $25 license increase sound? Making it $150 for the license and $24 for the tag. That would make it $174 to shoot a buck for an out of state hunter. I think that is still very reasonable and that is exactly what I intend to propose to the council.

Agreed! As long as we are comparable. I think it's crazy that we are a cheaper option.  A level playing field is all we can ask for. Good luck! Taking on a project like that can be a thankless one! So?....... THANKS A BUNCH!!!

I agree on the level playing field.  I think each state should do reciprocal pricing.  What ever another state charges for an out of state hunter is what that state should charge their residents.  Like in my case Missouri charges a bit over 200 for a nonresident archery tag or gun tag and Kansas next door charges near 400.  So I think all Kansas hunters should pay 400 for a Missouri nonresident tag then.  Only thing going is Missouri's archery tag is good for two either sex deer and two either sex turkeys.

That's insane! Folks will pour in and  lease up all the ground and push you folks elsewhere to hunt. I hope someday leveler heads will prevail!
