I have been hunting with them for three seasons now. I love them ! If you buy the titanium ones they are guarenteed for life if you bend them. The blades are easy to change , even in the field. No worries about cutting your fingers , you can even do it in the dark once you have changed a few. I have to give tham a big thumbs up !  :thumbsu:

Thanks for your feed back. Do most big box stores carry them. Do you use the 100gr titaniums? How do they fly compared to field tips?  I do really dig the concept and want to give them a whirl.

Love the concept of these BH's, a truly innovative design.  I would just love to see them in a bigger diameter, as I really like big holes...but not sure if the style would allow for that.  I think with larger diameter's the wire may just flex to much to actually be able to cut a larger hole....  Not something I've ever used but gotta admit I really like the concept.... may have to give them a shot some day....

I only see the Trukey heads in the big stores around here and they make them just down the road. I mail order most of the time . I think Double G Archery in Georgetown carries them. I am going to stop in there today and see what they have . They advertize they cater to crossbows. And I buy the titanium 's in 100 gr. With that set up my Horton TRT 175 shooting a 425gr arrow throws it @ 275 fps. So at 60 feet , the deer have about 1/4 of a second to react to the shot. A heavier head just slows it down more and so far I have been ok with it.

I have shot three deer with them.
They didn't go 30 yards.
They fly great, but no blood trail
Spoke to the owner he say might of been bad blades
So he sent me a bunch going to try with weekend.
I'll report back.

Don't get me wrong they shoot great.
I feel that when they hit bone the blades flatten out
Turns into a field point.

Yep shot my  &4
This morning. Crazy was at the edge of a corn field
It didn't go 10 yards not a single drop of blood.
There was a ton of blood by the deer. I will take a few pics of exit wound.
Was a lung heart shot.

I wonder why that would be? I believe you I just have a hard time how that could be? you've peaked my interest! Do they seem to hold up well? Have you used the same head multiple times as advertised?

This last deer one of the blades is bent
That could have been because it was six inches in the ground.
I feel that the blades do what they are suppose to do
Which is bend to get passed bone(I hit a rib)but they just don't leave a blood trail
I guess you don't need one when they don't go more than 30yards last one when 10
I will continue to use them for now. Has any body use broadheads from Alaska bowhunting
Suppy???

Just a thought.  Its easy to see why they fly like a field point, there isn't much at all to steer the arrow away from the target. Why aren't they leaving blood trail? They advertise they fold up when going through bone.  It will take some time for the wire to recover and expand fully open again to do more damage. During this time of recovery it may be just like shooting a field point. Then on exit hit another rib and again the broad head folds up to get through the bone.  By the time it is fully deployed again, it may be out of the animal.

What ever the reason, if I were 4 for 4 with no blood trail I would be considering a bigger broad head.   If you put a field point through both lungs or heart it will go down the same way. You mentioned that the wire may have broken in the ground as it was buried 6" deep. Sounds like you have plenty of power.

There are a lot of good broadheads out there.  With the amount of power your bow is shooting, why not take advantage of the blade size.  Grim Reaper Razor tip 100 will fly like a field point and leave a blood trail a blind man could follow.

These broadheads are awesome.  No planing, good penetration, marginal blood trails.  If you go to Archery talk you'll find all kinds of forum conversations regarding these heads.

I have a TON of those titanium broadhead and blade.  Any one interested in them, make offer.  They are brand new in pack and I also have about 50 of them in bulk.  I can not use them after I invented Aerovane.  One of the best head if you do not use Aerovane, or I would not have that many.  e_mail me.  They retail for about $25 each.  I also have some of the steel ones too.  For those who like this head, contact me soon as I do not believe they will last. contact@firenock.com (815) 780-1695

I just killed a buck today with a 100gr Titanium Atom.

NO blood trail at all. But the deer dropped faster then any deer I ever shot. The destruction inside was impressive. But I am debating on switching just in case a deer runs, how would you find it with no blood trail?

I have entry and exit wound pics in the Crossbow Hunting Room forum
