It is not doable for this years season.

If you hear more on the % of crossbows let us know. As you know this has been a long hard fought battle.....that isn't over yet.

did you talk to someone who said wasn't doable too? i'll share anything else i find out.

It was discussed at the NRC meeting in January whenit was preliminarily adopted. General consensus is it would not happenin time for this season. I'll post the URL to the minutes when I get off this IPhone. Interesting read for sure.

I've seen a lot of the input and the crossbow section is holding it's own. We've been at this too long and are really close to full inclusion. Wecan NOT stop now.

I was just on the IDNR websight and could'nt find the date/s listed for the public hearings. Anyone have that info?

The proposal has cleared the Budget Office. the NRC is presently setting up a public meeting. As soon as I hear when and where I will post it.

Yes, don't be shy. It is going to be a hard  battle, but it's looking pretty good for the Hoosier cross bow guys.

Yes... I've commented 3 times on crossbows. Each time was with different data from other stare, as well as our own. Get your buddies and each member of your family to give input. Women and kids will greatly benefit fromthis proposal.

Public hearings scheduled for proposed changes to deer hunting rules

The Natural Resources Commission will conduct two public hearings on proposed changes to deer hunting rules next month. The components of the proposed deer rule changes include modifications to the season structure, bag limits, hunting equipment, and licensing requirements.

The proposed rule language and fact sheet can be found at: www.in.gov/dnr/fishwild/2362.htm  .

Individuals can provide comments at one of the public hearings scheduled as follows:

I put my two cents in on the DNR site. I would love to use my crossbow all archery season! Hope it goes well for us here in IN.
