You guys have figured out what we have been selling since 1995. The only difference is our cover for your rags will not wear out and is easy to fill as it has a velcro top and the corners are folded over and sewn for easy hanging. www.bagtarget.com Checkd it out it could save ya a lot of time.

Mostly what my range is made with. (see below). Great product.
Phoenix, Vortex and Cyclone; single shot rifles and handguns.

We use Off-cut Wetsuit rubber, packed in a large bag with
the top lace up with rope.
I works a treat, stops all the arrows and they are easy to
pull out.

Just made my own target by taking an old pillow and wrapping an old blanket around the pillow and putting them inside of a Deer Corn feed bag. Made two shots from my Barnett Wildcat 5, rated 320 fps, at 20 yds with field tips and they pentrated 8 to 10 inches and were easy and I do mean easy to pull out. Best target I've ever had. Thanks for the idea.

I got access to industrial felt and bags but we have donated our old clothing but I'll find something. Any guidance as to a minimum thickness you need when making a target. BTW good ideas in this thread. TIA,CTO
