OK, Here are the 2010 rules.
2010 Crossbow Nation Hunting Contest
Setting Up the Playing Field
Contest will run from September 1, 2010 to March 1 2011.
Sportsmanship: Many people take hunting contests seriously, and trying to win is the object of the game. This contest is our first of hopefully a long line of competitions to come, and I hope the chief focus will be on having fun. There will probably be some mistakes made, especially by yours truly, and once brought to light will be made right as possible. The main thing is not to get excited what ever happens. There is no money, ATV’s or other things on the line to elbow each other out of the way for. The only thing the winners can claim is bragging rights, and we should be able to be happy for whoever wins just as much as if it were ourselves. We are just a bunch of friends playing a game passing the time together. Kidding around and giving each other a hard time in a friendly manner is expected just like we were sitting around the campfire swapping tales over a good card game. So let’s all have good manners, act respectful, and give each other some leeway as we learn to do this together.
TEAMS: Teams will consist of 5 members each. SIgn up under CROSSBOW NATION HUNTING TEAMS thread. All teams need to be formed by August 31. IF A TEAM MEMBER QUITS FOR ANY REASON, THE TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FINDING ANOTHER MEMBER WITH THE STIPULATION THAT ANY GAME TAKEN BY NEW MEMBER BEFORE BEING ON THE TEAM DOES NOT COUNT.
Weapons: All legal weapons allowed. 10 bonus points given to any kill made with archery equipment.
Game Animals and Scoring: YOU NEED TO POST EVERY KILL YOU MAKE ALONG WITH A PICTURE OF THE KILL AND WEAPON. Pictures must be posted in your teams section/thread. One good picture should be enough, but you can post more if you need to show hidden antlers or some other attribute. Also include your name, what the animal is, and date in the post. If a hog is taken include the weight. If possible a picture of the hog being weighed and the weight shown would be good, but we will take your word for it. Honor the honor system!

In the end each member will take 5 of their top scoring kills, and add them together for the team. For example: Say you kill 10 animals and have a score of 750. In the final score you will go through and pick out 5 of those which score the highest. Say of those five you end up with 450. Each of your team mates will do the same thing--pick out their highest scoring kills--and then you will add those together for the final team score. If you only kill 3 animals, then score all 3, but in the end no more than five will be counted. You can use animals from any category--small, medium or large, or you can use animals from only one category like big game.
Categories and scores: I can't think of every animal probably, so if I left something out tell me and I'll add it to the list.
SMALL GAME: Squirrels, opossums, grouse, pheasants, rabbits, raccoons, groundhogs, etc. and other little critters like that. Each kill is worth 10 points. Add 10 points if made with archery equipment.
MEDIUM GAME AND PREDATORS: Bobcat, fox, coyote, and stuff like that. (Help me out, my mind went blank!

) 25 Points each. Add 10 points if taken with archery equipment.
Big Game:
Deer (whitetail and mule deer) : Antlerless deer = 50 Points
Bucks = 100 Points plus 10 points per antler point.
Points should be at least 1 inch long to score.
ANTLERS MUST BE AT LEAST ONE INCH LONG TO QUALIFY AS AN ANTLERED DEER.
Hogs: Under 100 Pounds = 50 points
Over 100 Pounds = 100 points
Turkeys: Gobblers = 100 points
Hens = 50 points
Elk: Cow = 50 points
Bull = 100 points plus 10 points per antler point.
Bear = 100 Points (To me any bear is worth that!)
Antelope, Moose, Caribou, Musk Ox, and all Exotics, : Females 50 points
Males 100 points
For all these animals, if you take it with archery then add 10 points.
Reptiles and fish are not included in this contest.
