I recently checked out the new products that NAP archery products has on slate for 2011. There latest offering is a Crossbow version of there Mechanical Broadhead the Spitfire. This head is actually a 2 blade Mech. unlike the traditional Spitfires which are 3 blade. Of the different varieties of Spitfires in the 100 grain to 125 grain weights, the biggest cutting diameter is 1/3 quarter inches. The new head has a 3 inch cutting diameter when open. It has a weight of 175 grains, eliminating the need for brass inserts in the bolts. I myself have been using the spitfires for years with my vertical bow. I used the regular spitfire and the spitfire edge last season with my excal, 3 dead deer inside 50 yards with great blood trails. I have bolts with inserts, and bolts without, so, based on my past expierence with the NAP products, Im going to try these heads this season. It seems like the broadhead manufacturers are coming out with more xbow specific broadheads. I just like the 3 inch cutting diameter aspect. To me, of coarse shot placement is everything. But the bigger the hole, the quicker the deer bleeds out, and the better the blood trail, and the shorter the distance the deer will travel. I have tried fixed blade heads, and although the shots where lethal, the small cutting diameter of the heads left a bit to be desired as far as a blood trial went. Just me 2 cents.

YES!! I have been using the 3 blade design with my regular bow for years. Last year i used the 100 grain heads with my excal. I the guys I talked to at the stores said the new FOC is made specifically for crossbows. A 3 inch cutting diameter!!! Im a big fan of a larger cutting diameter More blood, shorter tracking job.

Been using Vortex 2 blade with a 2 ¾ cutting path, had great results with them.  I picked up some of the NAP 3” 2 blades cannot wait to shoot a pig with one.

I am going to pick up the 170gr FOC's at Dunhams.  I just got a 20% coupon, bringing them into a $39 price range. I lost a buck last year due to a smaller cutting diameter, this one looks as though it will gut the deer and make steaks out of it too!! Can't wait, will post a review...good or bad.
