Singleshot here and I am trying to help my friend which shoots the Darton Impact, he wants to purchase a dozen arrows before hunting season this year. He's looking for a good quality arrow which meets the Darton weight restriction for warrantee purposes. I know they have some new Gold Tip laser IV's out there but do not know their weight is( we both shoot 22 inch arrows by the way). He would like to shoot carbon arrows and I am trying to find him a decent arrow for a decent price, (money is a little tight for him so thought I would ask you guys for a few suggestions so I might be able to help him out. Thanks, Rick...

If you are interested, send me an email at:  vkehne@gmail.com, and I may be able to help you purchase carbon or aluminum shafts for a reasonable price. May be able to "swap" items, or other things.

try easton powerbolt or carbon express  both good choices at a reasonable price.

ive shot both out of my impact with great  results   several ways to get the desired weight and proper f o c .

does he have a fletching jig? a good one is a big plus as well as a digital scale for measuring components

since they vary from item to item.

good luck

The Poor Man's trick for bolt or arrow accuracy is to buy a set of the cheapest carbons you can find and ONLY use ONE when evaluating accuracy.  This eliminates the variability you will get in straightness or weight differences between bolts/arrows.  Just a thought.
Parker Safari Classic (150lb) Hawke MAP scope + 400 grain arrows = 326 fps
2008 Diamond Black Ice - 29in draw, 70lbs, "no peep", HHA Optimizer Plus = 249 fps with 429 grain arrows
2011 Telson (Scorpyd) 130lb - 19.75in powerstroke, + Hawke SR scope = 390.2 fps with 400 grain arrows

Pre season, I get 2 or 3 that hit in the same hole at 50 yards and they are my hunting arrows for the season. I've gradually switched  over to carbons  from aluminums due to  bending problems with  aluminums, especially with faster crossbows. Gold Tip, Easton and Carbon Express all make suitable hunting carbon arrows. Gold Tip is the only one that offers aluminum moon nocks. I like them......not a fan of plastic nocks  of  any  kind.

I shoot the darton lightning.   have tryed several different bolts. 2 from carbon express, the surge and the regular cx bolt.  The cx is supposed to weigh 454 total with a hundred gr. head. I liket th cx best seems to be straighter and also stiffer...shoots great...thats my pick
