Hello friends.

Three weeks ago, i bought a Darton DS3800. Before that, i asked Darton, if there any differences between the 2010 Pro3800 an the 2011 DS3800
They answer :
Yes, there are.DS3800 has a new bend rod lower suppression system with the upper system and multiple draw stops in service pack as an option, also has a new cam.
Darton Archery

So i decided to buy the new 2011 DS3800. My local dealer makes a order for me.

I do the setup with the 31" modules ( #7) + the L1 and U1 drawstops. Then i mounted the arrowrest, loop, peep, sight, bowquiver, stabilizer and the Cable Guard Bowstring Supression System. I put the draw weight at maximum ( 60lbs). Before shooting i checked everything and the tiller. Looks good.

After the first shoots i recognized some "things". I wrote 10.05.2011 a email to sales@dartonarchery.com. After one week i get no answer. I wrote a second email 14.05.2011 trough the Darton Contact / website to be sure that they receive my questions. Till now, i receive no answer.

Here are my questions. Maybee someone can help me / answer  :

1)I have a question about the Cable Guard Bowstring Supression System. I installed it, like it is shown in the instruction manual. But at full draw ( 31") the cables or the cable guard slide touches hard/ crimpings the bumper( from the side) from the Cable Guard Bowstring Supression System. Depends of the angle how the Cable Guard Bowstring Supression System is installed.

2)I have also registered that the upper cam has much more cam-lean than the lower cam. is this normal?

3) The bow has a massive handshock. Normal? I`m using 380gr arrows. must be heavy enough.

4)How can i understand the inscription/markings of the cams, modules and
drawstops?
Cams : L=lower cam ; U=upper cam
Modules : L=lower module ; R=upper module
For what stands / what mean the "R" ??????????? why not "U" ( for Upper ) ?
Drawstops : L1 for lower module ; U1 for upper module ( same for L2/U2 ; L3/U3 )
This is how i understand the inscriptions/markings of the bow/cams/modules/drawstops. Must say the manual could be more more extensively.

5)I bought with the bow three different modules #5 ; 6#  #7. But #5 doesn`t fit. On the plasticbag is written : 84PR55 2.5 #5 75/80%  . Wrong module for DS3800? And i`m still missing  modul #6. Was not in the box.

6)The important question is, what cam is installed? Is the 2011 DS3800 built with the DualSync-N cam ? I can read it in the bow chart.  My DS3800 must have the DualSync-N. But the cams have JCAM U / JCAM L inscription! But i want the new cams. That`s why my local archery shop order the DS3800 for me. The 2010 bow chart says that the Pro 3800 has the DualSync-J cam.

7) From where do you measure the draw length ? From the rear Arrow rest Mounting hole or from the front of the Arrow Shelf? With the #7 module ( 31" drawlength)i have 29" drawlength at the rear arrow rest mounting hole. to short?

I still love this bow. It`s fast and so beautifull. So please be so kind and help me.

what has happenend with the Darton rep ??? Is he member of crossbow nation?

greetings from germany and thank`s for help,

julian

Last week i do a speed test with my ds3800 : 31"( ???Module #7) drawlength + 380gr. arrow + 50-52lbs = 295-298fps!!! wow......

I use a Ripcord Code Red Arrow rest. My arrows are fletched with Nap Speed Hunter. Today i make some arrows with Arizona Max 2" vanes. Next week i will measure this set up.
