Parker Scopes are made by Hawke. Hawke is not a scope I want on my long range rife, but for a crossbow right now they pretty much own the market...good glass and designed for crossbow use. I just added a Pinpoint on top of my Tenpoint Carbon Elite.

Very, very please with my Hawke XB 30, put it on my Buck Commander, had to use 30mm Millet rings however as the mount that comes with the XB 30 will creep a bit due to "recoil" of the BC, (IMO, those two hex nuts with the provided XB30 mount just can't hold a hard charging XBow for very long -- Buck Commander's 175lb draw at 14" is a lot of Energy)... Just purchased the Hawke SR, will put it on my Wildcat C5 at some point.

I have the Hawke SR and the Hawke XB30. The parker scopes are made by hawke unless some thing changed this year that I am not a where of. The hawke SR does not come with flip open covers at least 2 years ago it did not. The XB30 does come with flip open covers. IMO the SR illuminated is to bright for very early morning and very late evening hunting So if you have young eyes buy the map and save some cash. Now the XB30 is not even in the same league as the SR & Map. The Xb30 opitics are way better and so is the light gathering of the scope. Its like comparing a dodge neon to a dodge viper, There is no comparison!! The illumination goes way down so if you are looking into a dark woods at first light or last light the illumination will turn down low enough so it is comfortable to see but not to bright either. After having a XB30 I would buy another one in a heart beat. Another great feature of the XB30 is you can adjust your scope to the exact speed of your bow up to 360fps so your crosshairs will be dead on as 20,30,40, and 50 yards. With the SR it has a fixed speed. I think it was 315fps so if your bow shoots faster your impact points will be different than then 20,30,40, & 50 yards. I Have the SR on my Tornado. I slowed the bow down to 321fps with 438gr arrows. My impact point are 20, 31, 42, and 53 yards. To me that is close enough. If you want your POI dead on at those yaradges go with the XB30. Oh, I almost forgot to mention this. The Sr is a 3X power scope while the XB30 power increases with your fps from 1.5X to 5X power. So if you are shooting at 360fps you will be setting on 5X power. Even though I said I would buy a XB30 in a heart beat there is nothing wrong with the SR and I have use the illumination on dark cloudy days. Corky, I think you will be very pleased with your purchase!!

Excellent info as I'm consideringa new scope, Thanks!

Anyone shooting the Leupold 2x7 Crossbones scope. I like the Leupolds on my rifles.
