both have their pros and cons....the ground blinds are nice...but you'll need to leave them out so the deer get used to them....weather really becomes a factor then...not to mention the thieves....not all are durable enough to last....the tree stand is easier to conceal from potential thieves....and you can see farther....
Have you hunted out of a tree stand before? You can get some inexpensive ladder stands from Dicks

WHY LIMIT YOUR SELF ? LOOK AT THE AREA YOU WILL HUNT AND LET IT DESIDE FOR YOU MAYBE YOU WILL NEED A TREE STAND TO GAIN THE VIEW ON ONE SIDE OF A CLEARING AND THE OTHER SIDE HAS NO TREES AND ONLY BRUSH .PREPAIR FOR BOTH AND THEN WHEN YOU GO THERE TO HUNT PLAY THE WIND !!

Probably the biggest issue we face here in Jersey is theft. Ground blinds will work well if you can leave them out....which, unfortunately, invites thieves. If you have private ground, you can leave them so deer get used to them. If you've never hunted from a treestand, and you're not accustomed to climbing into one, then I'll go back to my earlier suggestion of a ladder.
STC8581...I'll get with you soon...we'll take a look at where you plan on hunting and maybe do a little 'aerial' scouting. Don't worry...come season...you'll be ready

Get way up in a pine tree You will see much more then you can from a ground blind. Not saying that a ground blind wont work but it is tuff to find a good spot in the pines for a good ground blind setup I like to hunt in the thick patches of scrub oak so I need to be up in a tree other wise I wouldent have many shooting lanes on the ground. I am assuming you are hunting the pines being that your from Tuckerton. I hunt from tuckerton to barnegat But spend most of my time in stafford twp in zone 24 hunting close to home, if you need a hand getting setup give me a shout Im always willing to help out a fellow hunter. I hunt fall/permit/and winter bow and I also shotgun and Muzzleloader hunt And try to squezze in some pheasant and duck hunting in also.
