At times in the last few days it takes a while to sign on.
Then several seconds to navigate from one thread to another.
This is apparent with AOL,Firefox and INTERNET explorer.
Any one else having this problem?.

I thought it was me, I did a restart on my modem and router and cleared my cach, it didn't help. Things have gotten better now, but earlier it was as slow as molasses.

July 29, 2011, 3:07 PM CDT - takes 10-12 seconds to get to the forum web page from the home page.  Takes 14-22 seconds to change forums.  This is the second time I have seen the slowdown this week... both times in mid-afternoon.  Thought it might be a bandwidth problem but there are not that many folks online.  Good luck UL.

Just took 16 minutes to re-open this web site after closing it.  "Waiting for response from Crossbow Nation..." shows longer than anything else.  It "feels" like your server is being backed up and it has priority.  Now it is working fine.  Perhaps your IT person is doing some sort of maintenance during the day.

I don't know what it can be. It is lightening fast for me. We haven't changed anything that would effect speed in months. Bandwidth is not an issue. I can handle a few sites this size on my server. When I get back I will look into things. I'm on vacation now.

One thing I just thought of is that I have been adding more flash advertising to the site. This could be slow to load for some computers especially if you do not have software that can read flash files.
