I hunt national forest land.  Got sick of putting up tree stands and worrying whether they would be there when I came to hunt from them.

Now I hunt with a ghillie suit and a bag chair.  I sit next to a pine tree with other trees near it if I can.  My buddies say I literally disappear when I sit like that and they KNOW where I am.

I shower before each and every hunt using no-scent soap, or at least sponge bathe with no-scent soap if I can't get a shower done.  I keep all my hunt clothes in zip-loc large plastic bags with 2 earth-scent wafers in them.  I wear one wafer pinned to the headdress portion of my ghille.

I had a buck walk passed me within 5 yards of me last fall and he never knew I was there.  Took him at 20 yards.

I made myself a Ghillie suit a month ago... and I'll hunt from the ground. Also bought the small Ghost Blind, (cheapest one), it's good for a ground blind in shady spots... I'll have to work on my scent come deer season and I'm interested to see what turkey season brings!

Best,
