Is it okay to mount a rifle scope on a crossbow? Has anyone mounted a leupold vx3? Contacted Leupold and they said they don't recommend it because they haven't tested it and referred me to their new crossbow scope.
I happen to like the vx-s, great scope.
Thanks
Leupold VX3 1.5-5x20mm illum reticle

I ran the VX-III 1.5-5x20 with illuminated Circle Dot for a few years on a Horton Legend with no issues. Great scope! I also used it in spring for Turkeys on a Benelli Super Black Eagle.
The only issue that you might find depending on which crossbow you plan to use it on is the eye relief may be just a little long.
Funny that Leupold has no idea about their scopes after now releasing a crossbow scope. VX-3 is supposed to be bullet proof. Stupid that they don't want to up sale you to a VX-3
That scope along with something like the HHA Optimizer would just ROCK on a crossbow.

Thanks for the input. I thought the VX3 would be very durable. Certainly cost enough.
