Interesting idea....I've seen video clips from some 'weapon-mounted' cameras...and they all shake at the shot....can't imagine this one not shaking being attached to the riser...and...if you;re like me and own a Tornado (like the one pictured) and you have the string stops....the same holes they show for the mount are the ones where the supressors go.....

This is an exerpt from an email I sent to someone who was looking to attach the InsaneArchery mount without using the crossbow adapter kit to attch it to the riser (as shown in the picture above).

"I know how I could attach it; drilling and tap a threaded hole (probably about 5/8”) and then attach the mount directly to the bow using a 5/8” machine bolt and a 5/8” lock washer. Doing it this way, you would NOT need the crossbow adapter kit. This would allow you to easily attach the mount very securely."

This would work okay to mount it...but first you'd need to be able to drill and tap the hole...and, since I'm not especially mechanically inclined...would present me a problem....and I'd bet that the vibration would be worse than on the riser....it's still a cool idea....I'm just not a fan of anything extra mounted on my crossbow....

I can understand that you're not a fan of having something attached to your crossbow, it's not for everyone. However you mentioned the vibration... if everything is attached properly to your crossbow, the video can actually be relatively clean. Have you seen the bowhunter-57's recent bear video?

Just picked up a Kodak PlaySport Zx3!!! For my SZ380
Started on my camera mount at work today, I think I'm going to get a picatinny rail mount & use a piece of flat stock on that & attach it to the bottom of the camera mount. I'm going to mount this on the rail near the back of the scope.

This is how I mounted my Roscobe camera. I just don't like the quality in low light conditions. I butchered a quiver for the male mount and it slides into the quiver mount on top of my bow. Last season I carried along a Sony camera with night vision and a tripod.

Haven't had a chance to shot the 380 w/ cam. Well fine shot it today when I discharged my arrow. Was going to post video BUT, Good thing I didn't try to film any hunting shoots. When I went to watch the play back all u could see was the arrow going half way to the target. I had to drill & tap a new hole tilting the cam up a little. Got the target centered now. Was going to shoot it & post but it is raining again here in Pa. I think I'm living in Seattle!!!!
