My first lighted crossbow CE nock slid down halfway down into the bolt after six shots into a cross bow target at 20 yards. The Pro Shop helped extricate the nock, now broken, from the bolt. I sent the nock back, and Carbon Express sent a replacement which is appreciated.
I use Hot Shot bolts with the lighted CE knock and dropped a doe and an 8 point buck; both at 20 yards in the opening week of this season.
The bolt split just a bit below where the knock fits in when I got the buck. I did recover the buck and the lighted half of the bolt but the broadhead and front part of the bolt are MIA.
I purchased one more knock. I noted in the instructions that once in and down, they are not to be replaced. I do not know how long the battery is supposed to last. Perhaps the thought is the bolt will be lost or broken long before the battery goes dead. I do not know how long it will stay on in a lighted mode before it runs out of power. It seems inefficient that the lifted knock is permanent to the bolt. If I had to leave the blot out overnight lit for whatever reason (getting the deer back; weather closes in; the bolt digs deep under some leaves or brush i.e. etc.)
I was using the Parker illuminated 3x32 scope with the Buck Buster 150 and that got me on a doe and the 8 pointer this season. I watched the lighted bolt on its way to the buck, which was cool.
As you can see, the bolt did its job but I have to wonder if the lighted nock so how contributed to the demise of the bolt? Pretty good location for the bolt to hit IMHO.
