Well, Tim, unless the plan is to have Kaz propose full inclusion at age 55 and then just dally around, letting the bill sit forever until Walker wins the recall election or until we have a new governor  -- which will happen sooner or later --  I don't see what advantage passing this law would give the WBA.  Maybe it is "give them a little now so demand won't be so great later" or maybe they realize they just made ALL of the Wisconsin deer archery hunters angry with their shenanigans -- but, if it is not one of those things, I don't see what this buys them?

Will be interesting to watch.

It keeps the crossbow community far from the WBH archery season. And it adds wording to KEEP the crossbow out of their season. PLUS they can spout off about being "crossbow friendly" while all the time lobbying & using backdoor politics to KEEP the crossbow out of archery season where it belongs! Be sure Kas & the other anit crossbow troll that posts here is NOT doing anything for the benifit of the crossbow community....there will always be something in it for THEM & the WBH!!

Well, what I read in the Friday Journal talked only about getting crossbow interest stakeholders together.  It made no proposal, didn't define what a "crossbow interest stakeholder" looked like (does that include the "anti's"??), and didn't propose any specific legislation.  I agree with your statement "Be sure Kas & the other anti crossbow troll that posts here is NOT doing enything for the benefit of the corssbow community" ... what I don't see is how getting crossbows ANY publicity will be a good thing for them???  And if it doesn't do them any good, why are they doing it???  It seems like a really dumb move on their part unless they figure they can make crossbows look bad in comparison to vertical bows and I am not sure how they can make that happen?

They are just throwing the crossbow community a bone! They will support ANYTHING and lobby & pay ANY politicians to keep THEIR Archery season crossbow free! That being said crossbow will get their foot in the door and while it is not full inclusion it is a start!

I don't know how the stupid "X" got in there and whether it indicates I like or don't like what you wrote.  Sheesh.  I tried to remove it altogether and can't.  There has to be a way, Tim, but I can't find it.  Sorry.

Anyway, I agree with that you say.

The time to move is NOW and get what we can.  Then make sure the WBA is seen for that it is ... a group that does NOT represent the bow hunters of Wisconsin!!!!

We will note that Rancid, Ron, etc. -- whatever name he goes by today -- is NOT piping in.  I have been told that how this whole crossbow vote thing went down damaged them very much politically.  If so, then some good has come from bill AB384.

I know MY representatives heard about their actions before, during, and after the voting on bill AB384.  They are going to hear more, too ... from ME!  THIS TIME the WBA has gone too far and hurt themselves.

Good for you...we need more people in non crossbow inclusion states to get involved.  I hope you are right about the WBH finally being outed for their true intentions on this issue! This is nothing new...very ofter these well entrenched politically connected "good old boy" anti crossbow groups have the ear of the powers that be. It happend here in Pennsylvania it is currently happening in New York. Thru hard work & education these organizations will lose! Their true agenda (anti hunter) will come to light. So stay the course there in Wisconsin & get your friends involved...THAT is how you will over come the lobbyist & political backdoor dealings. Present the available facts and do not back down....If it were easy anybody could do it!! :thumbsu: LOL!
