Louisiana game warden murdered this morning.

What is this world coming to? My prayers go out to his family. This mans job was to protect and serve. He and all other game wardens are there to protect and preserve our wildlife and our land. What they do on a day to day basis allows us to go out and enjoy our land. This man had a wife and 3 children. What kind of low life would take away a husband, a father, a brother and a son because he didn't want to get a ticket or go to prison?? I hope they catch this guy.

From what I've read, the LA. Wildlife and Fisheries Officer was called about someone hunting at night on anothers property. He went out to investigate. He was killed with a shotgun wound in the chest, and found the next morning, by a fisherman, lying next to his vehicle.  No one deserves that, let alone an officer of the law.  I pray they catch the person/persons responsible for his death.  I live in Baton Rouge, La. which is not to far from St. Francisville, where this murder took place, but I hunt in Mississippi so I didn't know this agent.  But I'm saying my prayers for his wife and children, they lost the most.

The older I get the more disillusioned I get. Even though little surprises me any more, I just can't understand what goes through peoples minds when they do something like this. Don't they know that they will eventually get caught?

Many peoples lives will be changed because of the jerk or jerks that killed him. Especially his wife and kids. It's a sad day in Louisiana.

They are already caught... In the eye of our maker! Now I hope the law catches him and he has a long and miserable life in prison before he has to meet his maker!

Latest News: They are ruling it an accidental death. The rumor is, is that he always had his riot gun loaded with one in the chamber and in the upwards position in the stand. Evidently when he got to the location he reached for his riot shotgun and and it went off shooting him in the chest.

At least it wasn't by the hand of another but it is still such a tragic accident any way you look at it. He left behind a wife and 3 kids. We have a local hunting forum called Bayou Bucks and I emailed the website and asked if they could get a fund so that the members can donate whatever they can afford to the family. There are a lot of members that want to donate so hopefully it will get done.

I just read his obit.  I didn't know him, but I realized I did know who his parents were.  So sad and only 47 years old.  The Stucky family is in my prayers.

Very sad story prayer for him and the family.

Firearm accidents can happen to even the most experienced gun handlers. Be careful out there!

A sad story no matter where it happens. We had an accident here in CT. a few years ago. Warden responding to a complaint of an illegal hunter. He found his vehicle parked on the side of the road. Instead of waiting for the hunter to come out he went in after him. He was walking along the edge of a field at dusk dressed in camo right about the time legal shooting hours are over. Hunter fired at a deer in the field so he says and ended up hitting the warden with his 30-06 killing him. Turns out the hunter was legal. The corps of wardens wanted to hang the guy but he got off.

Well being a Law enforcement officer is a danger everyday.  They meet to people they deal with are the ones we can't deal with the way we want to.  Sorry for his loss and for his Family.  Boots on the ground at home are heros too.

I like that phrase, "Boots on the ground at home are heros too."  I believe that to be true.
