If you want to use something use the real thing, tinks ain't nothing but goat piss in a bottle, literally. Go with Code Blue!

Oldenred,  Goat piss in a bottle has worked very well for me for the last -I think 34 years. At $6.50 an ounce it works and, they have supplied us with many good delivery systems.  Please elaborate on Code Blue, what do they do different? Cost?  ect.   I'm always willing to try something different but, knowing the facts first.

Thanks in advance for your time and information

Code blue comes from an actual deer. So when your getting does in heat, it's actually from a doe in heat. But if you want to do mock scrape juice I will give you a magic formula that cost next to nothing. Don't laugh though and I am totally serious this works. It is not a joke I assure you. Get a gallon milk jug fill it 3/4 of the way with your pee, put in about a cup of ammonia and 2 pureed apples. Let it sit about a week or two then make mockk scrapes out of it or put it in actual scrapes. It drives the deer nuts. It won't work in every scrap but it will work in around 1/3-1/2 of them. So if you make 15-20 mock scrapes, 7-12 of them should become active. Again, this is not a joke although some people might look at you like your crazy. You only need to put about 4 o/z in each scrape.

Thx for the home brew recipe oldenred. Never have had much luck with them tending scrapes during shooting hours.I am willing to trying your recipe though and report the results. I'm going to try using the 2 scent drag method during the rut.1 with Buck pee and the other estrous

Thanks for the home brew, instead of my son going on the pine trees, I will now give him something useful to do.   I'll also give code blue a try.

The guys I work with had good luck with Wildlife Research Center Active-Scrape in a Magnum Scrape Dripper & Special Golden Estrus last year, I bought the 2 of them to try this year. The bucks are starting to scrap in my area, found 6 scraps between Friday & Saturday. I will be putting the dripper up this week!!!

If u Pee in a scrap it works usually about after 24 hours, when it turn to ammonia

They all work. Even your own fresh with a little bit of any heat scent... Really Tarsel Glands are really great. Take them off does you shoot and bag them up and hang them up with some tinks or trails end 307, code blue, Golden estrus.  any of them.  drag them too.  When the rut is on Bucks never stop looking for love.  ALL Of The TIME!!

i have a buddy who is a scientist also a 30 year veteran deer hunter .. and asked him about you concoction and  he pretty much well  gave it a thumbs down  but i have heard of people using hot apple pie candles ...  one fella would go to the same tree  every time he hunted and defecated on the same tree  .. and he got a good 12 pointer  do not know how that worked out  but .. whatever works..   me i use estrus (code blue)..  apples ... mineral blocks  i wish i could use corn but i turkey hunt the same property on the other side  ... i would have to see this work if it would at all?? but i am not willing to ruin my hunting area.. a human scent can destroy a good hunting area esp urine .... if i am understanding my friend correctly...

also know a guy who sit in his tree stand smokes ciggs all the time and drinks coffee that can float a battleship anchor ... and has them walking by all the time .. if that is not a repellent i do not know what is ..

Don't take this the wrong way but your friend has no clue what he's talking about. I know people who use this and target P&Y bucks in the 200" + range. Also, I use to be a registered master guide in Maine so I do know a thing or two about deer hunting. Got plenty of deer in my day too. If you're not sure if you want to try it, take it to an area where you don't plan on hunting. But keep in mind that you have to place it someplace where deer are going to normally be. Make a small scrape under some branches that are 4 feet or so off the ground around a known deer trail or you can even put it into an active scrape. Don't knock it till you try it.

i do not believe this is a pissin match  on who knows what who knows what they are talking about this is a forum to share ideas  you have some that believe anything human near the stand will run deer off ...  and you have others who think it does not matter what you do  if the deer has not associated a scent with danger they will be curious .. i been reading a lot over the past months i am no expert at all and last night i found a thread on D&DH forum  labeled "human urine" i am not gonna link to it  but it is there and there is plenty of pages of people saying it does not matter urine is urine...  i might have to give this a try  and borrow a trail cam to see if this will work   i am looking for new ideas all the time  esp low cost ones

Case in point, last week I had a chair in one of my ground blinds that had a loud squeak, I sprayed it down with WD 40 and set it out side the blind to dry and dissipate the odor.
The next morning from a tree stand I watched two deer approach the chair and sniffed and actually licked the chair.
Evidently either the deer did not associate the WD 40 smell with danger or I have found a really good deer lure.lol

When you get some extra time and want to laugh check this out. A lot of people have become believers over the years.

nice pics .. would love to see this in action in an area far away from where i hunt  before even trying to introduce it to my hunting area ... my buddy that i asked about this is a very seasoned hunter .. scientist .. and FFL dealer   i would like to have a one up on him for once over the past 30 years  and to prove that something like this could work would be great ...  but i remain skeptical  and  will give it a try    ... and if i get the 1 up on him  for a change i will be laughing for once  (he is 20 years older than me  i met him when i was 7 years old 42 now) ..

The reason it works is because urine after 24 hours turns into ammonia that is urine scented. The apple is to cover what ever predator scent that is in it so it seems like the urine comes from an omnivore. They are not sure what it comes from but it ticks them off and they can't help but mark their own territory over it. I know guys all over the country that use this stuff and have seen deer up to 260" taken with help from this.

Major ingredient in WD 40 is FISH OIL.  I guess you heard all the stories about spraying it on your lures but this is the first time i heard of deer being curious but who knows !!
