Colton got him at about 6:30.  We hadn't seen a deer yet on stand, but had seen groundhogs and tons of squirrels.  Finally, Colton whispered to me that a buck was standing right behind us.  He finally worked around feeding on acorns to the side.  Colton smoked him.  It was really easy to see the Lumenok disappear right behind the shoulder.  He only went about 50 yards and stopped for a few seconds, started to wobble and went down for good.  This one was pretty nice because since it went down in sight we got to celebrate pretty good in the stand.  He has both of his deer tags filled for the year.  The buck is a 6 point.

Colton and I would like to thank everyone for the nice comments and congrats. We hunted tonight out of the same stand that he killed his buck out of. It was fun reliving the kill.

Crossbow and the Mentored Youth program in PA has opened alot of opportunities for the young hunters.

Every time I see a picture of a young lad or lass glowing over there kill I get goose pimples. Make me more happy for them than if it were my kill. Congrats Dad on a good job training that young man and CONGRATS young man on a very fine deer. Keep up the good work.

A family that hunts together has double the fun.
