just talked to pse on phone and got the word tac 10 and tac 10i will be discontinued for 2012. the tac 15 will remain unchanged. i'm kinda disappointed pse will not take the next step and add factory options for the tac. maybe change the rail design to accommodate a 3 fletch or design a new rest or maybe just refine and make a better tac than they have. it seems they do this every year to their bows why not for their xbows? imagine a tac 10 with the same performance as the 15, with railless design, heavier limbs, shorter, new rail design for more common 3 fletch, drop away rest, a factory style optimizer rail, maybe camo optional. they would sell to a larger market.
tac 10 discontinued for 2012

I am surprised they are stopping the TAC 10 models, I guess they aren't selling many.
Hopefully I will still be able to get arrows for it.
I agree on the other options/ideas you mentioned. i like the TAC 10i simply because the 3 inches shorter it is then the TAC 15 makes a huge difference in the blinds I hunt out of and how I hunt. If the TAC 10 got the extra 50+ fps the 15 does, it would be very nice!

When you posted this I bought one off ebay as soon as I could find a decent deal. I like "discontinued" bows and guns. I also like the 10 due to the ability to not having to worry so much about pounding the arrows and lighted nocks and busting thru targets and ruining fletching. Seems like a "fun" bow I can fit into a ground-blind and let down easy too.

With the change of laws on speed, there is really no need for the Tac 10 apparently. I use the 15i from a ground blind, I just made sure I purchased a blind that would work with it and the table I made to sit it on. The 15i is long and heavy, butI set it up where I have it on a table, using the bi-pods which makes it ready at all times. It worked on 7 deer this year between WI and MI. Being a newbie, I am still amazed at the speed and killing power.
There are some changes to the 2012 Tac 15 model, it will have better limbs, a different scope when purchased with a kit and some minor stuff also.

My 10i came broken but the distributer got me a replacement sent in a few days. I'll put the sucker together tonight while the wife sleeps. she has no idea that a new crossbow broke into the house and intends to stay a few dozen years.
