I baught a barnett jackal about a month ago and finally for to take it out hunting. I spend the last month reading up on deer and how to hunt them and took my hunters ed course 2 weeks ago but have not had a chance to go out hunting because of work. I spend all day sat scouting out my hunting area looking for signs of deer. I seen 2 does and a buck while out there on sat. On sunday i set out at 6 am to set up my stand and got it up about 830 am to start huning. i seen a doe on the way in before i got my stand up. At 955 am i seen my first buck come across my clearing with a doe folling it. I spent 10 mins seeing what it would do before i took my first shot. I hit the buck right behind the left shoulder when it turned around at the doe. Got a double lung hit using 125g muzzy 4 blades that i never shot before today, I only for to sight in the bow using field points at the bass pro where i baught it at. I hit right where i aimed at so accurrcy was great on this bow. I waited about an hour before i followed it into the woods to track it. Hard a great blood trail right up to it. It was a 4 point buck that i am very happy to have gotten on my first time out. I did use deer estrogen to lure it out and seemed to work well. I recomend the Barnett Jackal to anyone for the price and the ease of use.

Nice Buck Congrats!! you should shoot your bh's at a target instead of fieldpoints though, because they won't all shoot like fieldpoints.

Let me add my congrads to the others on your first buck!! Like as has been said though, I'd sure find me a quiet place out in the woods and set up my target in between morning and afternoon hunts to check how your broadheads fly. Not all will perform like your field tips do and you need to be sure.

Congratulations on your FIRST.  Be loud and proud about it.  You can take a grain sack and stuff it with rags to use as an impromptu target (it also works as a discharge target if you don't unload your bow on an animal, use an old arrow with a field point on it for that) to get an idea where your broad heads are hitting - most mechanicals are very close to where your field tips are hitting but some fixed blades can be way off.
