Could be a lot of things.  Are you cocking by hand or with a cocking aide?  Your cams may be out of sync.  Are you marking arrows to see if they may be the cause? Same arrow hitting left, same arrow hitting right.  Do some process of elimination work with a practice session and something may emerge as the culprit.  Good luck and let us know what you find out.

i use a rope cocking aid ,don't know about cams out of sync, but when i ajust the scope it hits right on. it just seams like it doesn't stay, almost like it takes a couple of days and then its off. my arrows all group togather on or off target . i'm thinking maybe its the scope but not sure. thank you for the advice i will keep working on it.

I agree. Check your scope mount bolts to make sure it hasn't worked loose, if not use that as an excuse to splurge on some optics ;)

I have the Barnett 4x32 scope on my Buck Commander and I do not have a problem with it.  It did get slammed pretty hard when my cocking device malfunctioned and caused a dry fire, but I resighted it and have had no problem.  How old is you cb? If it is farely new contact Barnett and see if they will warranty it. Chances are they will and you will be back in business.  The scope is a good scope, you may have just got a lemon....Hope this helps...Poindexter

My quad 400 is the same way ...I have noticed on mine the scope rings don't fit tight as they should to the rail a lot of play no matter how tight you screw it ...I had an old set of rings I had on my rifle actually made by weaver..they fit tight and secure with no movement .BUT they are low profile rings so my scope ends bottom out on the rail ....I may try a weaver brand from walmart in a higher frame...I am almost certain mine isn't the scope but the mounts..

I had a problem with my quad 4 also with scope bottoming on scope rail and also not being able to adjust correctly. The local bow shop recommended replacing my scope rings for the 3/8" rail with an adaptor to go to weaver style rings(made by Truglo). Made a huge difference. I am very happy with the results.

Yea I just went last night and bought some new rings from walmart ..weaver brand in an extra high frame $10 ..put it on last night and fits tight ,like its supossed to ..sighted it in today and works very well I still have a lot of up adjustment left if I needed it ...the way barnett milled their mounts was very inaccurate for their rail and was lifting the rear of the scope..I would re@ommend to anyone to get rid of the cheap scope mounts barnett gives and get some better made for a weaver style rail

Update on my last post ...I had this thing zeroed in at 20,30 and 40 yrds the other day..pulled it out today and shooting about 6 inches low and about 3 inches to the left ...I'm puzzled I have changed the mounts and they are still tight and haven't bumped it or anything ..I just don't get it! I cock it the same way everytime too ..

I don't know what kind of scope you have but I had a rifle scope do that to me untill I found out it was the locking ring on the eye piece.I was adjusting the focus cause I'm blind as a bat and forgot to tighten the lock ring on the eye piece. It was moving all over the place untill I lock it down.It solved my problem. You might check that out.Good luck

Is the bolt/s that hold the front end on the bow tight?  If not the bow will shoot all over the place.  If not I would suspect you have a bad scope.  There are only just so many thing that would cause this kind of problem.  Mostly that something is loose somewhere or a bad scope.

Shortbarrel, sounds like a bad scope, try another to verify.  Had it happen a couple of times, I would still be chasing my tail if it hadn't been for Old Longhair alerting me to it.  Up until that point had never had it happen and never suspected that it could be a bad scope.  After that I had another one. What are the odds?

Yea I have checked the bolt that holds the head on its tight ...I'm leaning toward a bad scope as well I've read a lot of people having that prob with the barnett scopes ...I just hate to call barnett and them send me a new one and it be the same quality .plus its been two weeks and I haven't got the cables an new slide from them like they were sending out the next day ...what is a good Xbow scope for under a 100 bucks

I would recommend the 3x32 Barska Multiline lighted recticle crossbow scope you can buy one for around $50 online if you look.  My son bought one and he and I are very pleased with the quality of this scope.

Since my original post on this subject, I have had problems with my scope staying on. I thought the dry fire situation I had with my cocking device may have damaged the scope after all. However, I was in the blind on a really rainy day, nothing moving so I decided to clean and relube my strings and rail. I bumped the front of my scope with my hand and I noted a slight movement.  I had checked the scope mounts before and they were tight.  Again I checked them and they were tight.  But if i grabed the front of the scope I could move it just a tiny bit. That tiny bit at 30 yds would be about six inches off.  I found that the two screws that hold the scope mount rail to the crossbow scope mount were loose.  These screws are are under the scope and on top of the mounting rail.  They have some type of a plastic washer on them and the front one on my cb had a ruptured washer.  I just retightened the screws and resighted and have had no other problems....hope this helps.....Poindexter
