I've been hunting from a wheelchair for 25years,I'm a T-10 par. I would like to share some different ideas out there on how to hunt. I started of hunting on the ground in my chair, getting pushed out in the woods by one of my brothers. I then bought a four wheeler so I could put my chair on it and get out by myself. After that I put a bass seat(swivel) on the back of the four wheeler and built blinds to drive into. After they legalized crossbows for the handicap I knew that I wanted to get in the air. So I built a scissor lift that runs off a winch that takes me up 15 feet high that sits on my 4X4. I've been using this set up for about 12years know. I also have one that is built on my bad boy buggy that uses two screws with sprockets and chain that takes me up. One of my friends also has one that is built on a steel rail that the seat rolls on that is attached by a winch from the top. All he does is drive his cart into the blind and transfers over to the seat. I think that a quad could use this type of setup to get into the air. If anyone wants any more information on any of these let me know.
Thanks Joe

i'm interested in more info. i'm a c-6 quad. i hunt in stands built for me. i rifle hunt more than i xbow and in the county i hunt in i have to be 8 feet off the ground, by law, to shoot a high powered rifle. i have 5 stands built for me. 3 have ramps and the other 2 use a counter weighted elevator to get me in the stand. i wish i had a pic of the elevator. it works good. i can't get in the stand by myself. we use two people to get me in there but one person alone could get me in there if needed but it's safer to use two people.

c6 that is great that you found a way to get out in the woods. My newest stands our 6X6 post put into the ground with shelving and sliding windows. My friend is going to try and send me some pictures of his set up. When I get them I will try and post them. How do you get to your blinds and hunting property know?

c6 this is a view from the top. There are four rollers on a box the rolls up and down on the I-beam. The chair is welded to the box. What is your e-mail I have about 10 more pictures that I will send you.
