Hi There folks.  I was wondering if anyone is using the Slicktrick 100 Gr. hunting tip with the Aramid bolts.Last year and this year after shooting a buck I find that the bolt did not pass through with 2 great lung shots. Both tips completely shattered.I use to use Muzzys but thought I would give The Slicks a try.Could the RDT 125 be too much for the tip.I could see it happening once, but not twice   Thanks  Steel57

Hi steel 57.    Try  NAP Thunderheads or Thunderhead Razor Edge.  You will get complete pass through and, if you line up the vanes with the blades you will get some pretty good accuracy results.   In target tests I haven't found another broadhead to penetrate a target more.

Hi Timb, I like when somebody shares their experiences with fixed blade broadheads. Are you shooting the G5's out of a Scorpyd 125, 130, or 165?   I just did a quick search on them and, I'm not saying that their not as good or  better than a Thunderhead product but, I only got to the 2nd search when I read this:eview 3 for G5® Outdoors Strikerâ„¢ Fixed-Blade Broadheads

Overall Rating:Posted Image3 out of 5

Disadvantages: Performance, Durability"I bought 6 of these broadheads in the Fall of 2010. I shot a buck with one, great shot, waited an hour on him, went and looked and was no blood....long story short, found the deer, ran 100 yards dead.....broadhead destroyed and with no blood trail...i believe i will be heading back to Thunderheads...."I'm not saying anything good or bad from the above comments because a million different things could have come into play for the results that guy had. They look very similar to the original which is a good thing. They have cut out channels that I like but, they dont have the stout tip.  I'll check them out the next time I'm shopping but, I've found same but different usually doesn't work out for me.c-t

A buddy of mine has a crossbow and has great success with the thunderheads.  Those are what I'll be trying first when I get mine.

I was talking to Jim at scorpyd the other day and he mentioned a new broad head on the market. He said he had best accuracy with it and it's advertized for superior penetration. Look up "ram cat broad heads".  Seems like someone has come up with a new and possibly better fixed blade broad head.

I don't know about slick tricks out of a cross bow ,but I found the st magnums to be the most accurate out of all of the fixed blades out 60 yrd with my bow but my bow is only shooting 262fps .

I also had great luck with Slick Tricks 100 magnums!
I haven't purchased my first Horizontal bow yet,but out of my Mathews @ 290fps average speed,I shoot the vanes off of my other arrows if I don't aim at a different spot, out to 60 yards!
I've never had any penetration issues, and yes some of them have been bent when recovered after shooting a deer, but I don't expect every broadhead to be reusable after a kill!
If they are it's a bonus!
Quite a few only needed a new set of blades to be reusable, several I even hit with a diamond hone and put back in my quiver!
I have taken roughly 12-15 deer with them, and several turkeys.
You don't try to reload a bullet after you kill something with it do you?

That said I was a Thunderhead 125 user for many years before I was given a pack of Slick Tricks to try!
Had they not been given to me,I would likely still be a Thunderhead user!
Hell I still have a bunch in my broadhead box just in case I need them!
Archery and gun hunter since WAY back in the early 70s !
