Hi Mischief
My C5 came with a cable slide as well as fitting instruction.
Ring Barnett and I think they would send you one,so until it arrives and fitted don't use the crossbow
because the cables may become damages.

I just sent Barnett an email about my C5 not coming with a cable slide and within 20 minutes Richard (Barnett Rep) replied back and I now have one on the way. I have to give a shout out to the Barnett Customer Service Dept, great job and thank you.

STM,
Follow the directions when ya get it...

Remember the slide itself has two notches, the deepest notch belongs to the top cable as the two cables cross one another... bottom cable gets the shallower notch... before putting the whole assembly on cable flight track, apply lube on the part of the cable slide that comes into contact with the underside of the cable's flight track in the stock... (If you hold the Xbow as if to fire it, the notches face the ground).

Actually, I put lube on both top and bottom of the stocks flight track for the cable slide... Hell, I put lube everywhere,  but that's just my way... and I'm pushing close to 400 shots now on original strings. (Wildcat C5)

I just got my Cable Guide today in the mail, thank you Barnett ( Rich) for the great service.

Hi Corky, tks for the info on putting it in correctly.

Looking forward to adding the new guide and letting the bolts rip down the driveway into the target in the garage ; )
