Hello everyone,
I've just received my TAC 15i today, told it was the 2012 model and was quite happy with it.
There is just one minor issue, I noticed a small fray (like a tiny puff of white fur) on the string
near the left cam. It's around 1 to 2 mm only and seems to be near the surface of the string.
I'm wondering if this is of enough wear on the string to cause future issues, as it seemed only
minor to me. But I am also inexperienced with crossbows.
Also, I live in Canada and it took nearly a month for the crossbow to be shipped to me.
Will I be able to send it back to PSE in the states for repairs? Anyone else have similar experience
with international warranty experience?
Thanks in advance.

Ok, what you need to do is relax the limb bolts until you can easily slip the string off the cam, take care that it does not unwind a twist, a piece of tape will keep it in place. Next you want to get a piece of 600 grit sandpaper or Krokus cloth, and run a cotton swap around the string groove; mark the area where you see the puff, you will find a slight burr left over from the machining process, nothing to fear. Take the cloth or paper and just smooth it out, I had a few burrs in my RH TAC 15 cam. Use some string wax on it and put the string back on, tighten the limb bolts back down and you will have a happy string that will last longer and look better. All you are seeing is the serving (top cover) fraying a bit, the string strands are protected underneath that serving. Hope this helps. TJ
