Hello to all!

So, on Friday i got the new SZ 380, mossy oak with black limbs. I got with super fast shipping to europe. The big box came to our country-boarder in 6 or 7 days i think - fastest shipping from US, to my address ever :). While assembling the bow i noticed the bow is sooo lightweight like a toy :D...To only thing on it makes it heavy is chinese 1.5-6x42 scope :) lol. My prevoius bow was strykeforce and i have to admit that here was made few inpruvements. The bow is very light weight, with my 550 grams scope + hha makes it "back heavy"..it's shorter and it's easier to cock :)..and i won't say nothing about the trigger :) - it's perfect with zero creep. Compared to strykeforce, this one has much lower let-off..strykeforce has huge let-off. I also put "hoyt" limbsavers on it and HHA dial speed - using the same tape as i did on strykeforce...at the moment i am shooting the Goldtip laser II (stock stryker bolts) with 125gr field tip, i will probb. shoot it with 100gr. The bow is also quieter than the strykeforce i think :) I am just very happy with it at the moment! I have not shot it alot, only few shoots and i will post pics in few days!

Thanks!

Enjoy your new bow!! It is one of a kind. Every now and then go over all of your bolts as my front end came loose after 100 or so shots. I never thought about checking it when it was new. My stock also came loose after 200 shots. So now I check every thing every 50 shots.

And i have a question...

I have HHA and heavy scope, the scope weight is 547grams. And i wonder if it's to heavy? Can do some damage to scope rail - trigger box, or anything? Should i use more light weight scope?

Thanks!

Ugh, that's a lot...i tought it's 11grns and 33grns.
I am asking, because i want to fletch those bolts with blazer vanes (offset) and still shoot 100 grns tip.
In that case i would; -18grns (blazer vanes) + 30 grns (plastic nock replaced with alum).

Will this reduce too much FOC?

Thanks!

EDIT:  Sorry! The FOC will be fine with blazers + alum moon nock and 100grains heads, right?

Yes, but firenock is heavy than classic plastic moon nock. If i use the stock stryker bolt, which is somewhere 400grains. If i refletch them with blazers i'll get 400-18grains, which is almost 380grain bolt - isn't this under the min. weight of the bolt for strykezone 380? I have limbsavers on it, but hmm...

Thanks! Milan.

So, today i spent few hours on shooting the SZ 380 at distance of 30m. I was shooting from "shooting stick" and i could get 1-2" group w/ no probblem (field tips). I was also "testing" the 3 broadheads (also 30m shoots):

- NAP spitfire 125gr: Stock stryker bolt and refletched with 2" blazers (quite high FOC i think).
- Slick Razor Trick 100gr 1.1/8": Stock stryker bolt with 4" fletching.
- Rage crossbow 2bl head 100gr: Stock stryker bolt with 4" fletching.

I only shot spitfire 2 times (same hole hit). I am getting another two broadheads (grim reaper 3bl 100gr, nap spitfire edge 3bl 100gr) and i will test their field point accuracy as-well.

Here are few pics.

Milan, you should put a acudraw 50 on it too. I shoot tighter groups with it and one less thing to remember when you r going into the wood. Next best upgrade to the optimizer imo.

Mybe one day i will :) but i spent enough for now :D hehe...Optimizer is one great thing and rangefinder with "angle option" - you are dead-on all the time :)

Hello There!

So, today i was looking for the bolts that are grouping quite well. I was shooting from the quite steady bench rest. I was shooting at 70 - 75 yards i belive.
I could not use the rangefinder, because it's foggy outside

So, after the shooting i found the plastic piece on my bed and i noticed it's was broken slider for the cables. David from wyvern is already sending me a new
one and i will be able to replace it by myself...I am still happy with the bow, even i will not be able to shoot it at least for a week or soo. Here are few pics.

Enjoy! Milan

Milan, make sure you install the slide back with the correct cable configuration:-)  I have never heard of a slide breaking on the 380 or 350. Is it cold there?

EDIT: Ok, i will put the new one with correct cable configuration :)

No worries about that, they were/are in the correct place. No, it's not cold, today was i think about 4°C or somewhere there..I was shooting outside than i went to load the bow inside, where's 25°C or so...So, constantly: cold-warm-cold-warm-cold-warm. I spoke with David about that and he said that could not be a problem. But there are visible "air bubbles" in that broken plastic if you look closely, maybe that caused the problem. I am not so worried, because i am already getting that slider from Wyvern :)
