I want to build a box blind for use with my crossbow. Does anyone have a design that you have used that is specific for crossbows?
What have you used in the past that has worked. I am thinking of making one 5X5 about 6 foot high. The area I will be hunting I only have shots out of the front and the left side.
Any ideas on window configurations would be helpful. Also, this will be on the ground, not elevated.
Thanks

Ken, I have been think about the same thing. The idea I have come up with is to use Canopy fittings and 3/4" or 1" emt and screw on pole barn metal siding. You could use 2x2"s as well. As far as windows. Take your 2X2's and cut a slot in it before framing and use a piece of 1/8" plex glass and you can slide it up and down. If you are going to use it on state land in mich you can not set a type 3 ground blind up before nov 6th.

Just my opinion I built one 2 years ago 4x4x8 was cheap that way was using full 4x8 sheets of plywood.and used 4"x4" x20' for the tower legs cost me under $100. I can use it for rifle hunting and crossbow Im a 6' 3" 325lb hunter and its just right size. P.M me if you want and I can send you what I used and how I put it together.

I hunted in my 4x4 last year with my crossbow but it was way too small to be comfortable. It was hard moving around in it and positioning for a shot with the crossbow. This year I built a 4x6 and love it. I can hunt with another person and have plenty of room. I may build another one next year for another spot I hunt but it will have to be a bit smaller. Probably a 5x5. I think that would be the smallest I could go and still be comfortable.
