Middleton is alive and well. There was a finishing issue that was taking an unusual amount of time to resolve due to the ineptness of the finisher at hand. The parts have been found, a new vendor has been located and things should be better than ever. There are impressive things coming in 2012 from Middleton. It's unclear right now if this new innovation will be ready for the ATA in January. I promise you this, when it arrives it will knock the crossbow industry on it's ear!!!

Middleton's Pure Power limbs have been an industry leader in performance for the last six years. The DTM375 has been the fastest recurve on the market since it's introduction. Facts are stubborn things whether you like it or not.

They are simple and hard to damage.  They are consistent in accuracy, and they are appealing to the eye for a lot of us.

The recurve style has a large and loyal following. Middletons limbs are so advanced his crossbows can be continuously dry-fired.  Now how does that matter you ask?  Well if you ever have a nock break, or don't have your arrow tight against the string, which happens to the best of us, your compound will more than likely blow.  Meanwhile, a recurve shooter will more than likely be able to keep hunting.

All machines break down.  Simple machines break down less frequently.  Simple fact.

I already know all the advantages/disadvantages of them, just wondering what you could do to put the xbow industry on its ear with one...............Maybe something in the rucurve industry not the compound world!!!!

Do tell!  Check out what I posted/asked on the limbs and riser thread.  Note the same issue there also.  This is getting old!

If Middleton has something so radical in design that it will knock the crossbow world on it's ear, then he must be getting out of the recurve business.

I only entered this thread to debunk the rumors about Middleton. They will be stronger in 2012 than ever before. As I have posted previously, Middleton will be focusing on the U.S. market intently in 2012. Sales out of this country have been so that they have been focusing on that market. Like any successful business, expansion is necessary to grow. You should see more stocking dealers in 2012 than ever before. There are many excellent crossbows out there and more and more being produced every year as technology improves. Choice is a good thing. It is important to keep things fresh to better the sport. Middleton is an innovator. This is a proven fact. There is development being fine tuned for 2012. This too is a fact. Brand loyalists will surely trump any new innovation, it's just human nature.
However, for those who are truly passionate about the sport and hunger for performance, what's coming will certainly
satisfy. As for how I know, Derrick is a personal friend and has made me privy to it's development. You won't be disappointed.

Im sure I could describe it pretty accurately...theres another Middleton proto sitting in my living room in the corner. Another two or three protos for other manufacturers scattered about my living room and hallway.

Derrick has been privy to all my designs and ideas, and has some nice ones of his own. We are both very passionate about performance and anything to do with crossbows.

Please be sure to keep anything told in confidence, off the forums but yes it should be game changing. If working together we have enough goodies on tap to release a new product every three months for a good number of years if we wanted to.

The one Derrick describe to you (if only one)ought to keep things hopping trying to play catch up for a good while. Coupled with Middleton lightweight platforms it will be tough to beat no matter who you are.

I dont care what BT or PSE or whoever comes out with. We got you covered. see ya at the ata.

Thank you.

I guess you will always have nit pickers! IMO my Middelton 330 shoots as fast as I need it to! The bow handles & fits ME to a T! No bow or bow design is for everyone. Whats the difference! Shoot what you like....BUT these constant pot shots IMO serve no purpose. There will always be people with product loyality (as it should be!!) I personally prefer the recurve platform that's why I own an Excalibur and a Middleton. I have owned compounds liked the Horton & Tenpoint had problems with the Bowtech and their customer service. Bottom line buy & shoot what YOU like.

how about a Middleton compound design(s) with the simplicity and ruggedness of a recurve? 2012. Can it be done? :goodjob:

I picture in my mind a crossbow with a recurve/compound system like Oneida Eagle has in there vertical bows. Did I guess rite? Well did I? I should be a testing beta site for Middleton if I guessed it rite, come on Derrick send me a proto to play with for guessing it rite  :thumbsu:
