Thinking of doing some out of state hunting, like Florida. Do they allow crossbows. I know Ohio does.

Crossbow Regulations

Check out this link from Horton's website...it looks to be a year or two old, but it's a starting point.

Florida does allow crossbows on private land only. You will need a special crossbow and deer stamp as well.

In Wisconsin you need a handi-cap permit or be over the age of 65 to hunt with a crossbow.   In Michigan, anyone can use a crossbow as long as you get your FREE crossbow permit.

I will be legal in WI next year and also hunt MI now.

Colorado allows hunting with a crossbow in any rifle season or in other seasons with a disabled permit.

Connecticut is handicap only during the archery season except zone 11 on private land during January. It's supposed to open to anybody in 2012 but it's not official yet.

NJ has crossbow listed under archery with it open to everyone.

Why don't you put your location on your profile so that we can see where you are from, instead of having to ask. The same goes for several others here on the site and that have posted here to this. Why not put your location in ?? And also put your bow information in your signature and everyone can see what bow your using. Just a kind and useful suggestion to all.

As to where I live, we have a decent crossbow season, not all season like Ohio. However I would like to see it be allowed the entire bow-season. And I am a Compound vertical Bow-hunter, and a compound crossbow hunter.
