Got up this morning 4:30 AM, temp 24 degrees, set up by a fence row in our big field and started using my rabbit call. After a few minutes heard Coyotes very close in the brush behind me but could not locate them with the scan light. Later at first light saw a Coyote running across the  field in front of me, Started calling and here he comes at a full run, at about 15 yards he stopped and looked right at me as I had the  Tenpoint Turbo with Bowlite green LED light on him, as he turned to run, to late ,the Arrow with the slick trick magnum struck home. The Coyote rolled over and ran about 20 yards and was done.

That's great... 15 yodel dogs is a pretty decent dent in the local population!

I been so busy hunting deer for the freezer I ain't had time to try that - but all the comments and pics on the Nation (to which I am new and new to crossbow hunting as well) has me just itching to trying that - plenty of places and yote tracks where I am hunting.... what are my chances of getting one in close to my stand with enough day light to shoot or are they bedded down by dawn? Like to stick me one ... FB Preacher

Calling at dawn and an hour or two after can be very good, as well the last two hours before sundown.

If you like see this article, reference hunting coyotes with crossbow.

Shooting from the ground, sometimes target higher than makeshift stand, not to good, about 50%, although found three arrows this month from last year.

Way to go Speialized. You are saving a lot deer. My buddy and I hunt them in the Western Maryland mountains and in SE Pennsylvainia rolling hills. We haven't had your kind of success. A guy brought one in at the butcher shop in Felton, PA to be weighed 60 lbs. We use mouth calls and the  electronic Fox Pro. We also fox hunt and have been successful. But we'll keep at it though. Not many people do hardcore predator hunting like us. Keep up the good work and good luck!

Are you using illuminated nocks? Just wondered if that would help with bolt recovery.

Have never used the illuminated nocks while Coyote hunting, maybe would help in recovery of the Arrow. Might try some in the future.
