Anyone have any tips they might want to share to draw a buck in during daylight hrs. I've got a week and a half left and the weather is killing me. No snow so deer have lots of food to choose from. I've had does at my bait pile but only at night. Haven't had any pics of bucks for weeks. No Idea where they have gone or how to tempt them to come in.

There are afraid of your location might be a factor. If they can not make it from a secure beading area and have a human scent free path to food they probably wait until the coast is clear at night.

I am having the same problem here in Louisiana. We had a terrible drought this year during the spring and summer and my lease has no water so the deer relocated. The rain started a month ago and has help with the food plots but the deer are taking their time comming around. We also have one of the heaviest acorn crops that we have seen in years. You would think that the drought would have hurt the acorns but it did not. The few deer we have are scattered.  Good luck and happy hunting.....Poindexter

Part of the problem with late season hunting is simply that the deer are less active.  Most decent bucks by now have chosen safe cover either by virtue of its near impenetrability or that it's an area that they haven't been bothered by human intrusion.  If you can find these areas and determine where they're leaving them to go to feed you'll have your best chance.

Ya, we trade places.  All I see are bucks, I haven't seen a doe in weeks.  Had a 5 pointer under my feeder for 35 minutes this morning - sucking up the corn like a Hoover.  My buck tag is filled (since Oct) so all I can do is watch them.

Here in NE AR, a mini-rut(3rd go at it) is going on. We just finished our final 3 day "gun" season(MLer, shotgun, pistol) .  Deer are very active. I'm out of tags(2buck/1doe).  Corn really brings them in here. Though I have nothing against it, I killed no deer over corn. Did kill a 212# 8-pt (about 128") in route to check the does likely at the corn pile though. Incidentally, a plug for FOCs: 38 yds, FOC (3" cut Spitfire, 170g ), Red Hot arrow, SZ380 Hb30. Deer fell straight forward DRT. Massive entrance and exit: hit a little hi over heart. 1st kill with the FOC, have been using Spitfires 75% of time since they came out with the initial  small 2-blade model( fortunately quickly replaced by the 3 blade models).

Well, as dumb as it may sound I've been blowing a high pitched defective coyote call trying to drag a few yotes into xbow range. Started it tuesday and have used it twice in the am....ground hunting. Both days its drawn does and bucks within 50 yds. Oddly havent seen a coyote yet! I put a broadhead in a buck yesterday....but thats another story.
