I bought a trt ultra lite from my dad a while ago. It's like new. He got rid of it because he wanted the sz380.I was going to trade it off for a recurve crossbow since I already have a compound tenpoint defender. Well I decided to shoot it the other day and was really supprised. It's very light, good trigger and  balances great for me.I was going to get a recurve because you can change your own string fairly easy. Well I think i'm going to just keep the trt and get horton's bow press for $60 What do you guys think of the trt?

Just bought a TRT for that exact reason, it's weight at 6.5 pounds is extremely light.  I switched the forearm around..  check out you tube and key in Horton Team Realtree and you will see Draves Archery putting it together.  The Forearm switch does feel better...

I have my fore end on in the reverse position also( skinny side facing rear of bow)...It's a little easier to lock your forward arm into a more repeatable position IMO. I bought the TRT for my daughter because of the light wt of the bow and its very good performance, and I'm having a great time with it also. Its accuracy is AMAZING...my 8 yr old daughter can stack the arrows into the heart/lungs of my 3-D deer and Block target at 25yrds. We're shooting Easton Razer 2219's that I fletched with Blazers, with a 125gr point and total wt of 458gr. Its DEADLY.

I like mine to. Purchased it in the summer of 2011. Shooting Horton carbons with the short vaines with 100 gr. Grim Reaper practice broadheads. Got it dialed in for 20 & 30 yds. I have the Sims SVL crossbow silencer kit on it. I'm going to change the scope to a Hawke camo lighted recticle. Probably going to upgrade the string also.

Yep....one of the stock bumpers ripped through from the inside so I put on some Mathews' dead end stoppers. They seem to work great, but Ive only taken a couple shots since putting them on.

My TRT Ultralite has been awesome! Just got it this season. Light weight, feels like I'm holding a rifle. Very accurate and I took 2 doe with it so far and got 3 weeks left to get my Buck!
