Hi, got new dtm330 and came w/ 3 xbolts with insert, but no nocks. So, flat or half moons? and if flat is nock needed since insert is flat? also, why the 2 micro grooves near the end of the rail? It seems they would only shred your serving and string prematurely? Thanks a mil. e.

Pretty sure you should use flat nocks. some people use inserts for nocks so that thet can screw a tool into it for arrow removal.

Guessing the two lines are for reference to keep track of your brace height.

P.S. Still waiting for my DTM 315 to arrive, should be here soon!

Like, Todd said. The insert is flat with threading. That is a flat nock. OK to shoot that. Are they the victory x bolts? if so, that is the design. Actually that is the design of most flat nock bolts. yes, the lines are for the string to line up on after it settles from shooting. I like to keep mine a hair above the riser marks. It will not hurt the serving. You will have to twist the string after shooting 20-30 so shots. I made a string changer myself, your pack should have one. The excal string changer will work as well. Keep it waxed. Good luck

ok, yes they are victory bolts and my string is about 3/8" forward of those rail grooves. Looked on the middleton site and it kinda looks like the bolts on the acc. page are moon shaped, but hard to tell since small pic, but I'll take your word for it and will try w/ the flat inserts. thanks.

It definitely shoots a flat end bolt. I use the victory and also the excal fire bolt. Each uses the same setup with flat inserts and the ability to use the "T" handle to bull them out of targets if needed. You probably had the t handle in your packet as well. The scope is sweet. I can't help you on the setup because I have the 375, but once you chrony the speed, use the speed dial and things will line up nicely. Good Luck

cool, what do you use for rail lube? and is there substitute everyday stuff you can use? I just waxed the hell out of the string, but seems to be sticky for rail lube, mmm. we'll see how she goes

I use a silicone spray for the deck. Spray it on and wipe it down. Also shoot a little in the trigger assembly, very rarely though. Don't use wax on the rail, it will pick up to much gunk. Some guys use jigaloo. You can get it at advanced auto.

Moon found out this product works very well.  It pops up all the time now.  Here's where you will find it fur sure.  My Advanced discontinued it awhile ago but, it might be on the shelf in yours?
I just checked with Pepboys for you guys. To avoid any online shipping charges from any retailer that may still have some you can call your local Pepboys store, order JIG-A-LOO with code#JIGUSA1601 for $2.50 per can, they call you when it's in to pick it up. There are 153 cans in their Atlanta warehouse and 125 cans in their LA warehouse.

It's on Amazon in stock for $3.99 a can + $8.82 shipping. Pepboys was cheaper and easier for me though.
