I finally got my 2011 Cyclone Express by the way of UPS this evening. Started putting everything together around 6 PM. Just now finished. I am very pleased and anxious to shoot it tomorrow. The machining was very precise and the workmanship was nice. The front end and the stock aligned very well and precisely joined together perfectly as I tightened the allen screws.

I leveled and lined the cross hairs on the scope, with my wife's help. The rings on the scope use metric allen head screws. Also the screws in the quiver attachment are metric. I had the tools but I wished the allen wrenches for these where in the package. I could imagine that several people would not have metric allen wrenches. Still I am very pleased with the illuminated scope. I especially like the lighted rings. Nice ......

I was impressed that all the allen screws that I took out and the ones that where furnished to put the front end on had lock - tite on them. I had already purchased some blue lock - tite and used this also on all the bolts/screws.

The adjustable stock was somewhat loose, so I fixed it. I used black electrical tape. I took the stalk completely off after seeing where I needed it to stay. You can take it completely off by holding pressure up/backwards on the adjusting lever and pulling outward. I wrapped the flat part of the adjustment notches on the round part of the protruding attachment. I pulled the tape and stretched it so that it narrowed and would fit right over the flat notches. I put four wraps on the rear that is smaller in diameter and three wraps on the front part that was larger in diameter. I then replaced the stock. Ii fit very tight, but the electrical tape give enough to let it go forward and then back and lock in the position I needed. Very tight and no problem. No more looseness or rattle. This might be something Parker should work on a bit.

I also added a small leveling bubble to the rear just above the cocking rope valley in the stock. Just behind the scope bell. I can see the level while looking through the scope. This will help me to keep the bow level at the shot. I had to use a round power saw file to file the area just a little to allow the level to sit flat in position. There is a slight bevel there in the stock in that area. I then super glued the small level bubble (about 1/2 inch long) to that spot, while the bow rested with another level across the barrel. This way I could keep the bubble level perfectly lined and level with the rest of the bow/barrel. Why doesn't crossbow manufactures put levels on the bows ? Maybe they do on some other brands. But I have not saw one.

So far I am very pleased and want to shoot the bow first thing in the morning. I plan on taking it outside first for a while so the limbs can get affiliated with the cold temperature before shooting it.

I am very impressed with the camouflage color. It looked somewhat white in all the photos I saw, but it is nice. Looks like Realtree to me. The feel is nice too. This bow really fits me well.

Thanks Stan, I will do that. I put the level on and then decided that it really was not useful after lining the scope hairs properly. Oh well, live and learn. Did not hurt anything, just a lot of trouble for no reason. I marked the top of scope ring for future reference to assure that the alignment is always true. The scope has a white line on the top for reference, nice.

Thanks Jeff, I plan on doing just that. I will update after I have shot it a while. Going to get it outside now so that it can get acquainted with the temperature. Line it up and off to the woods this evening. Only three days left to crossbow hunt. I bought the extra doe tag just for this. So horns or not, the slick head deer better be aware, I am coming, armed and dangerous, I hope.

Congrads on your new Cyclone. I have a 2010 Cyclone and really do like and enjoy it. I noticed that you mentioned that your extendable stock piece slides completely off the back of the the stock. Be aware that it is NOT supposed to do that!! My 2010 did that when it was brand new just like yours does. There is supposed to be a plastic piece (notch) that stops it from going all the way off and that piece was broken on my Cyclone.I got ahold of Parker and they agreed and sent Bass Pro Shops a new extension piece, since I bought mine there. It came in within a few days and once on, it now works the way it should and doesn't slide all the way off, or beyond the 4th extension point. After your hunting is over, I'd contact Parker and get a new piece if I were you.

Thank you, but I intentionally took it off. To take it off, you hold up on the release lever hard while pulling the stock back and it will come off. Not real easy, but it will come off.The fourth lock piece is still there.

Check these two sites out, one from here on the bottom and the other from Youtube. Just click on them one at a time and watch and read. Thank you for your concern. I appreciate it. I really love this Cyclone Express. Parker got it right on this one for sure.

Well I shot the bow this evening and had it lined fairly well in 8 shots. I tweaked it at 20 and it is dead on and deer/turkey dangerous. I like the bow all around. The Carbon express with the moon nocks worked very well. I do have two packs of the Parker/Carbon express capture nocks on order. I got them from e-bay for $9.90 a pack and $2.50 to ship both. But until they get here I will be using the moon nocks.

I figured out today how that some are having problems. This is just my thoughts while it being my first time shooting the bow. And also primarily after being used to a Horton.

You must be very careful when loading these Parker bows. The three inch fletching on the arrows recess back underneath the arrow retainer hold down. You must be very precise when loading and making sure you have the arrow all the way back, and in until it stops, not until rides up,but until it stops. If you do not get the arrow seated and check every time, you will be having problems.

The Horton seemed easy to load, but did not hold the arrow very well and the metal arrow retainer was loud at the shot, twanged. The Cyclone held the arrow very nicely and you could turn it up side down and what ever and the arrow still would stay put. The retainer is some kind of tough plastic and makes no noise.

I liked the narrowness of the bow in the treestand. Not to bulky and handled well and also loaded and rode well on the ATV. I like the quiver being turned longways with the bow also, good upgrade.

The trigger pull is somewhat creepy on the Cyclone. More creep than the Horton, but both had good trigger pull (3-4 lb).

The cyclone is quieter than the Horton. I think the string suppressors makes it quieter.

The Parker sling is very nice.

The Parker rope cocker is not what I expected. I got the cheaper one with my package deal. The hooks when they come up to finish the cocking at the trigger, they ride up against the trigger housing and mar it some what on both sides. I tried it both ways, hooks down and hooks up. So now I know why they sell two different cockers, and want about $40.00 for the Parker Red Hot cocker.

I am very pleased and I am going to go get in a tree-stand early in the morning.

So if anyone is thinking about buying a Cyclone, I say yes, recommend it highly.
