What would be the BEST {/} electronic call made for coyote hunting. I am looking to get into coyote hunting this winter and would like some tips and advice on avoiding rookie mistakes. The one idea I know of {have not tried} is take one quart of shell corn pour it on thr ground. Take a square bail and cover it. Soon mice will find it and coyotes will smell the mice and make it a regular stop.

H&S Fox Pro is probably the best and most exspensive also. Check their website out. On the Outdoor Channel on wednesday nights at 8 pm they have a show called Fur Takers by Fox Pro. I have an older model with a remote 32 sound capacity from 2004. The models they have now make mine look antique. I have rabbit, coyote, fox, fawn and crow sounds on mine. I can change them though by hooking up to my computer and their website. Yeah we hunt crows with decoys. We hunt in Western Maryland mountains and S.E. Pennsylvania rolling hills. Hell we'll hunt them anywhere if we can. We've had more success with fox than coyotes. The coyotes are there but very smart. These eastern hardwoods coyotes are bigger than what you see out west. The fox we have are red and greys they aren't dummies either. More are killed by deer hunters during the firearm season by chance. Specialized who hangs out on here has gotten 15 yotes in Indiana this year. He must know his stuff and sounds like he has a good population of them where he goes. I like your idea about the bail of hay and corn. I think you had that on here before. We're gonna try that. My partner is gonna try it on the edge of the corn field by his house. We can shoot off his deck. That should draw in both fox and yotes. Hope this info helps you out.

I have a Fox-Pro FX-5. I think Fox-Pro is the best out there. You don't have to buy the most expenceive. You can start with one that has the basis calls on it. I would get one that has a remote so can get back away from the caller, that way they will not be looking at you. Hope this helps, and by the way it is a blast.

I have to agree, the Foxpro call is definately the best call out there.  I added the Jack Attack accessory to my call.  When a coyote is coming to my call and see's the movement of the Jack Attack unit, it is amazing how well they lock onto that movement.  Then, as they say, the rest is history-the coyote is toast.  Also, just like deer hunting, you need to be consious of the wind when you set up with your call.

Check out the mouth calls also,I used to use electric calls but found hand calls work just as well and you dont need to carry around a caller. Google Varmint Als website great info there.
