Just joined here myself!
I have spoken to you @ NAHC forums.
Contemplating buying an Xbow myself!
Hard decision to make figuring out which one to get!
I'm leaning toward a Stryker but want to do more research!

Crossbow Nation has also set us up a New York Crossbow Coalition section here. www.crossbownation.com/forum2/forum/84-new-york-crossbow-coalition
We need everyone in New York that supports Crossbow use to sign up. We can influence legislation allowing crossbows to be classified as a bow, thus allowing it's use in all seasons for all game. Check us out. Together we WILL succeed!

Welcome aboard from another NY resident. I'm in southern NY, Rockland and Westchester Counties.
You'll find a lot of really good crossbow enthusiasts on this website and depending on which crossbows you're interested in, you'll find some excellent information and advice to help you along.
If nothing else, please take the advice on the New York Crossbow Coalitian and join the group. It's vital if you actually intend on hunting within the state. Unless we can achieve some numbers to challenge show our politicians that we have a large enough voice in the state, we may not necessarily succeed in changing the current crossbow legislation.

Money and revenue to the sate will undoubtable play a huge role in getting the laws straightened out. That's also why the numbers of crossbow hunters joining and supporting organizations in the state are also very critical. Numbers represent both money and votes to politicians.
