Here is a new broadhead from NAP.  Not sure if it will work with crossbows yet.

Its the Ragator    Already like the cut on contact on the right and look forward to shooting something with it this year.

I use spitfires and bought some practice blades, trouble is, how can ya get hold of a bunch of those little screws to attach the practice blades? Don't want to take screws out of my good spitfires. I'm new to Xbows and I'm told you should hunt with what ya practice with... thought the spitfire practice blade would shoot much like the real spitfire expandable --- true?

Thanks,
Corky

Hey UL,

Any word on whether these are crossbow friendly or not?

Buck,
So far my experience shooting at the Black Block is... I lose a practice blade or two every 3 shots. Or, a blade bends. Now, it may be my inexperience at taking the arrow out of the block as the arrow spins a bit before it hits the target. I try to back it out slowly and allow the practice blade to "unscrew" themselves. I'm shooting Ten Point Pro Elites with regular Spitfire head, just using practice blades... Accuracy is as "on" as fieldpoints however!

Thought I would share this video of the damage this broadhead can do. This BH is definitely on my list.

Does anybody know if this Broadhead will have solid blades like the trophy tip option like they show on their video?

I heard some say put a little tack or spot weld on each blade of the real ones. I think I might do something like that....

NAP... still lookin' for the 125 gr. version, or, 135, or, 145?? With all these fast Xbows we could use heavier arrows and heads for more knock-down punch, Yeah, ya betcha...

Gotta be there somewhere... ;-)

Spoke with a tech rep from NAP yesterday, he advised the standard Killzone is not for high speed/high performance xbows. He advised NAP was working on a crossbow Killzone head, but he would not say when it would be out or how the xbow head would be different. He ask how fast my Scorpyd xbow shot and when I told him 400 fps. he advised the current Killzone was not the best choice.

The NAP F.O.C.™ 175 gr. crossbow broadheads are available now I think. These are the first mechanical  broadheads that I have been tempted to try.  3 inch cut, wow.  Kind of like a flying machete. I'm still skeptical about them standing up to the bone of wild pigs though. May be the same ones Buck_Slayer had a link to. Just Google it you'll find it easy.
Definition:  HogBane "bane"  (ben, beɪn) sounds like, slain or main
A hog killer or hog slayer. A cause of misery or death to all feral hogs.
A source of harm,  ruin or woe to feral hogs.
From: Old English bana; akin to Old High German bano (“death”).
Example: "The bane of my existence"
Similar to: wolfbane, henbane

Barnett Predator
Hawk XB 30 scope, + BowLite
Easton 22", 105 grain brass insert, Bolt Cutter 3 blade 150 grains, 532 grains total arrow weight.
