Looks like the string rides rail just like my compound did and it used halfmoon nocks. Why the flat and not recommending halfmoon? I have a lot of 20'' halfmoon plus lighted nocks in them...is anyone using them? I dont see why they wouldnt work just fine.
Why flat nock?

They will work...I was shooting them with the exocet years ago and I am shooting them (moon nocks) with Vortex...Flat and moon...You have to pay atenttion on the bolt position with moon nocks (the right vane in the rail).

I believe the reason is the release pivot is above the arrow which allows the string to be released with less ossilation making moon nocks unnessary, although they could be used Excalibur doesn't want you to for fear if loaded incorrectly could cause a misfire. Not possible with flat nocks.

honestly i dont understand the whole hub bubb.when i seat my arrow against the string i always look to see that the arrow is indeed seated against the string. whether its my compound with moonies or recurve flat or moonies.if you look i dont see the problem what nock is used. i know some xbows need the moons because of the steep angle like the reverse compound types.
