Hello all!
I just signed up here, and hope I can learn someting from the more experienced people here.
I'm a 35+ year bowhunter/gunhunter,and a former hunter safety instructor (NY makes it hard to keep up to date on certifications and still hold a job ).
I have not taken the Xbow plunge yet,but with NY finally giving us a token legality I hope to dive in soon!
I'm doing research and watching auctions to figure out which brand/model I want to purchase.
I have handled a few different models but only shot a few.
My initial thoughts are toward a Stryker "Strykezone 380" or the Barnett " Buckcommander"
The Stryker just has the right feel in my hand, even w/o shooting it yet!
My other thoughts are toward the PSE Tac models, but I think the prices will keep me out of that arena for a while!
Does anyone know anything about the Barnett "factory recertified " units I see in the auctions?
Barnett told me via email that the warrantee period is shorter, but not whether any particular dealers are reputable.
Anyway,I want to stay over 300 fps,and a crank type loader seems like it would add consistency, and possibly the option of cranking it to decock.
Any suggestions ?
New here and wanted to say hello!
