Bought the son a brotherhood for Christmas. While assembling I noticed the cables rub the upper part of the stock. What I mine is the cables rub the top of the slot. This is not correct ,is it?

probably not GP, should be some kind of small slide there, that the cables go through! check with your dealer or the manufacturer

Mine came with a cable slide even though the cables still touch each other on the right side. Call Horton they will take care of you.

I bought the crossbow Holiday special mag from Gander Mountain last night and noticed that the Horton Vision is $850 and 5 fps slower than the brotherhood which retails at Walmart for $300.... I love my Brotherhood bow...just absolutely love it. The vision looks cooler (but looks cooler isn't worth losing 5 fps and paying $550 more for it).

You can't beat that! 5 fps 500 bucks...  :thumbsu:  The deer will still be served! :stuff:
Parker Safari Classic (150lb) Hawke MAP scope + 400 grain arrows = 326 fps
2008 Diamond Black Ice - 29in draw, 70lbs, "no peep", HHA Optimizer Plus = 249 fps with 429 grain arrows
2011 Telson (Scorpyd) 130lb - 19.75in powerstroke, + Hawke SR scope = 390.2 fps with 400 grain arrows
2011 TAC 10i - (vids coming shortly)
2010 TAC 15 (used) - (more vids coming shortly)

We shot the Brotherhood. No joke, but loud.Seems the bang comes from the stock.I think stuffing it would help.Maybe 500 one dollar bills.
Seriously looking at a vision, one on the market place for $550.Prices should drop with the new Hortons coming out.I see tons of visions on the net.

If your talking about mine on the Market place, its a steal of a deal IMO!!!!!The scopes on them are great and no need to upgrade them to Hawke,as they are illuminated.....I sold my original "Vision" used for $475 on craigslist last year that had no arrows and the swapped out junk 380 scope I had from the new one of them I bought....i am going to buy the Fury and im going to have to add at least $150 for the Hawke SR on top of the list price......If not I will open it and just use it/again this year, its not the bow but how good ya hunt IMO!!!!!!Not to mention the problems you get when upgrading to extreme speed bows,I dont like mine breaking in/during peak season.....If I could spare the money it would be kept as a spare just in-case the Fury needs the bugs worked out like other new tech/models bows that come out!!!!But taking the isk as I truly trust Hortons......
