I have a few of the Moultries.....they've been reliable...good battery life...and moultrie customer service has been very good...their trigger speed's a little slow.....they're much better as a 'feeder' camera than a 'trail' camera

I have two Bushnell Trophy cams I use a lot. Mine have been totally trouble free for me taking either still shots or videos. I really like them.

Don't know but never did understand the password protection bit anyway. If stolen you are never going to get it back either way as they will simply throw it in the trash.

The Moultrie has a slower trigger speed then the Bushnell though the Moultries take brighter pictures at night but with a slower trigger speed then the Bushnell. Here is a good website to research trail cams.

True, but at least you have the satisfaction knowing that they can't use it either!!!
Here is another good site for trail camera comparison

I have had both and prefer the Bushnell. With that being said, my buddy has the M80 and I really like the brightness of the night shots. I have a new no-glow on order and would like to see if that helps or not,(for brightness) it should be here today. Bushnell customer service is great. I had a woodpecker destroy the lens on mine. I sent it back hoping it could be fixed. Instead of a fix, they sent me a brand new one for the $10 shipping charge. That was a pleasant surprise. Good luck with whichever you choose. I don't think either one is a bad choice. It's just a matter of choice.....

The Reconyx isn't cheap.....I have a couple of the PC800's....OUCH!
But so far I am very happy with them...fast triggers.....nice pics.....closing in on 20,000 pictures and battery life is still above 90%.
One thing I am VERY impressed with is the infrared trigger thingy......it is extremely rare it triggers without finding some critter in atleast one of the 3 shot burst.

Just a tip......Look into an insurance policy called "Inland Marine" from your agent. Mine cost me $1 per $100 in value to insure photography equipment. The catch is the minimum policy premium was $35 so I added my travel rifle which was $2 per $100 value.
No deductible or depreciation.
