Just wondering if there are any new crossbows from Bowtech for 2012? Seems like they have been kinda quiet.

Thanks for the info.

I guess that makes sense. The SZ model is still very cutting edge in my opinion.

Yup.  Sounds like 2012 is the year they keep their fingers crossed and hope that all their problems are behind them.  In that case, 2012 will be the year they anticipated having in  2011.

Would be nice to get a crank cocker from them though.  I'm disappointed that still isn't available.

And as long as I am dreaming, I'd like a nice hardcase from somebody who makes cases.  I still can't believe that the only hardcases available are the size of 2-car garages ... and one of them weighs about that much too.  Maybe somebody will see that gaping hole in the market place and fill it.

Man I hear what you are saying about the cases, but the current manufacturers are just building "one size fits all" cases and until crossbows become more "mainstream" that will probably be the norm.  I cant see any case company making much profit off manufacturing model specific cases it would be hard to sale enough to make it worth production.

Wondering just how many SZ's have been sold?  and how many more will be sold this year ? should be worth a company to make them as I imagine there have been tons of SZs sold! they are the same exact bow so one case would fit both !

I herd there is a new case out that will fit the SZ's. I am just waiting to here if its true?? from what I herd it will be a few weeks before we know. I was hoping for a crank cocking device as well. I know a parker sidewinder is close because I tried it. I am probable going to fab up some new hooks and try it again now. I will let you guys know if it works.

The 380's limb problems have been solved (months  ago)and the 350 never had any unusual problems,no more than any other crossbow. The 380's limb problems were hyped up by a few individuals while not mentioning other brands that had limbs blow up. I have over 500 shots on the 350, plus a full hunting season behind me using that crossbow. It's sweet. I just spent 2 days on the floor at the ATA, shooting every crossbow I could get my hands on and I would  not trade my 350 for any one of them, no matter their price. BTW, still shooting the same factory center serving with no separations or fuzzing.

A custome fit hard case would bee cool but I doubt we will see one any time soon. Too few people would buy them to make it profitable.

Guess it wouldnt surprise you much to learn that aside from the 380 already purchased I will be getting a new sz350 very soon as well. I will move some of the rest of my bows upstairs to a spare bedroom to make room LOL. A Horton is my hit list for this year as well. I hope they have replaced the stock scope from last year. :cigar:

Moon,I had my string break at the cams and it did not even splinter the limbs at all!! I think that is saying some thing for the limbs!! It turned out to be a burr on the cam that made the string be cut. Who would have known and it was a isolated problem. It was not a big deal to me and they fixed me up ASAP. All is well.

Hopefully we might see a more "compact" xbow case sometime soon.  I mean its not just a bowtech issue.  Lots of compact xbows coming out that kinda "slop" around in any case.

Like Moon stated custom model cases would be hard to turn a profit.

As for a crank.  Bowtech makes no crank that will mount to the stock?  I didn't realize that if this is the case.

Allen has two new cases 6015 and 6017 but they won't be out till Feb. and they will be on Amazon.com first.
